We see the term "Umb" in a lot of various contexts in TES, and I think it's clear it's some kind of Ehlnofex word, or close to it, meaning "Shadow". This means Umbriel is translated as "Shadow's Beauty", which I find interesting. (and yeah it's taken from the IRL word "Umbra" which is a shadow)
