1400 words written in my next book, so close to being done. It is basically The Mummy/Hellboy. A sapphic monster romance with horror, gore, and a revenge story in 1911 Egypt. On top of that, my book The Sanctity of Blood and Steel comes out on Friday!

My next book, The Sanctity of Blood and Steel, deals with the extremes that religion can push its followers to. It’s part of my epic fantasy series, the Nycanthium Cycle, and it feels especially topical right now with everything going on in the world. The book comes out on May 16th.

My next book is my favorite I’ve written so far. Set in 1911, it’s a sapphic monster adventure romance with a mummy (and the mummy is one half of the romance). Inspired by the Mummy, both the Brendan Fraser and the Sofia Boutella movies, it’s a fun read! I’m hoping to get it out later this year.

I haven’t written a lot this month. It’s been very difficult with multiple family health scares, and a family member just passed (it was their time, it was expected, and they passed peacefully surrounded by family, but my heart grieves anyway). I’m hoping for a gentler April.

I’m about two-thirds of the way done with my edits for next book, The Sanctity of Blood and Steel. It’s a villain story, and explores Luciya Harte’s backstory, a demonborn raised in the Priesthood of Yuichal. I’m going to be looking to send out ARC copies soon, and plan for a release in late spring.

And I have my book back from my beta reader! I’m already three chapters in, sixteen more to go! Going to be releasing more info soon.

Just got back the first chapter remarks from my beta, and they’re excellent! Looking forward to starting in on them.

Just finished the second draft of my next book! It is coming out in spring, date tbd.

I’ve only got two chapters left to edit in my next book, then I’m sending it to my beta. I’ll be opening ARC sign ups after that, so if you’re interested, the book is basically Kingdom of Heaven meets Master and Commander.

On reflection, I think I’m going to write my horror series to rapid release, so I’ll be working on them behind the scenes while I finish up writing my fantasy series, the Nycanthium Cycle. The next book for that will be out late Spring. And Book Two will be out later in the year.

I’ve almost got the hardest parts of my edits done for my book next year. Editing is a bit of pain, and it’s basically adding another 15k words, taking it well out of the novella range.

My work on the epigraphs for my next book is going well. Got an idea to use them as a secondary story within the book, and I think it’s turning out nicely so far.

Okay, a tech surveillance company calling itself Sauron, claiming that bad guys will know they’re being watched is… kinda on the nose. Especially when it’s for home security for billionaires.

I’m putting aside my work on the horror romance temporarily to focus on the edits for my next release. The Sanctity of Blood and Steel is coming out Spring 2025, and it’s a part of my series, The Nycanthium Cycle. It’s another prequel book before book 2 comes out, which should be in winter 2025.

So, after action on my giveaway. I’m pretty happy. 147 copies of The Hidden Heart of Magic were given away. It’s not a huge number, especially when compared to stuff your kindle results I see, but I’m pretty happy with it. The goal was to get my book out there, and I think that was accomplished.
