just a small sorta-wip tonight wanted to draw a bunch of real motorcycles on the same sheet but i keep getting stuck on details..... there's so much wrong with this one that i'm afraid to admit which model it is. i'll probably finish inking on a second real bike before adding some fictional ones

that's everything before the inking phase. well... except for the wing flaps moving, i just realized... the top propeller feels super off but that's probably the part i guesstimated the most

might finally have a decent idea for how the missile interception effects should look. not entirely sure if i'll be able to replicate this in the actual drawing, but hopefully something close will be enough

...how is the actual gyroplane drawing going? a bit better than i expected, actually. i have no idea how thick i should draw this whole back stabilizer part so i may need to ask the designer about that i am also afraid of taking too long figuring out the gunfire effects i posted about previously

been staring really hard at this simulator video to see how the flaps move on a compound gyroplane. if i understand correctly... for ascending none of the flaps actually move, and for rolling to the right the left flap goes down and the right flap goes up...

only now realized hecate's gun has shell casings coming out of it in that clip. this is why people should pay off their sleep debt fully

a bit of a style change... i drew a crustacean for drawafish.com it's been a while since i've done digital art, so my linework is a bit off. i like how the coloring turned out though. the doodle won't appear on my profile view for some reason, i hope she's just taking a while to load

i'd only ever heard momoiro kataomoi from kiara singing it, so i was shocked when it came up as oshibudo's ED. "kiara has good taste," i thought. then i searched it and... it's a classic from 02... when idols were polled about idol songs recently it got 1st place... kiara has REALLY good taste...

i finished watching combat mecha xabungle. it's astonishing how well-crafted the show is overall, and i really enjoyed the tractor-like mecha designs in it. very good show if you like strong women.

it's done...! the pen i've been using kinda felt like it was on its last legs, so i opted not to erase the sketch lines since the inked lines might be weak. sorry if it looks kinda funky, i might post a cleaned up version later

blegh, i forgot to draw exactly 1 light on the right sponson last night. clearly i wasn't in my right mind.

that's most of the details done! not having a specs writeup for this vehicle really bothers me. the autocannon sorta reminds me of some 37mm guns design-wise, but i'm not sure about the exact size of the gun. i don't trust my writing skill to describe my drawings, so specs help with that

this one might take a while to get done i couldn't find the settei again. and there's differences in details between scenes, like antennae positions or part of the hull being different shapes. maybe this is what it feels like to draw real AFVs with huge amounts of variation, like the sherman...

i saw people using this anime bingo card a few days ago and felt it might be fun to fill out. my taste outside of old mecha anime seems to be extremely questionable, though... maybe it's like having tunnel vision?

i accomplished my goal of doing a quicker drawing, but i think i still ended up overcomplicating it. drawing a convincing starry sky while pretending that the colors are inverted is surprisingly hard...

is it okay to post images with this? even with pen and paper drawings, knowing some image editing stuff can be useful. for example, inverting the colors on your art could create a cool effect, or let you make a night scene without manually coloring the sky. qrp with your loading screen art tip!

this drawing will be of the mecha show that i'm currently watching! it might not make any sense... i misremembered this scene as taking place during the night, but when i double-checked the episode i realized it took place closer to sunset

this turned out pretty alright, actually. especially the explosion effects. i recommend watching mospeada if you're looking for a mecha anime with a varied soundtrack, since the story plays around with music as a theme. i didn't vibe with it as much as macross, though.

i've been wondering if i should try implementing ground motion lines like this. the effect is neat, but it also seems incredibly easy to mess up.

i think that's most of the composition work done. it's vertical instead of horizontal this time! the terrain will need more work as a result, though. also, i did a short sketch of jim driving as practice. the face looks iffy, so i'm glad i got away with blocking his face on the jeep
