And that she was, making sure each and everyone of the mobian citizens got to safety, not leaving any of them behind as she was the last to leave the ruins of her old home, now burning in flames as she searched for shadow to make sure the black hedgehog was OK as well.

Amy just watched as he dashed away, not with a second thought, leaving Amy by the burning building. She just gave a small sigh, turning around, she scanned the horizon for any more helpless victims.

Shocked, Amy jumped back as she took a moment to assess the situation. "W-what are you..?" She was confused, she's never seen a dinosaur- let alone anything that looked... well deformed.

Amy nodded firmly, struggling to her feet. She stumbled before gaining her balance, giving shadow a side look. "I know, I'll save them all no matter what." Was then only words she dare speak, it was true, she wanted all her friends saved, and she was gonna do that, whether shadow helped or not-

She had her hand over her head face, to brace for debris and other small objects as the building came down on her, to her surprise... nothing happened. Looking up, she saw none other than shadow, "S-Shadow...? You saved me...?" She was a bit surprised by this, she thought the dark hedgehog-

Meanwhile, the dorky pink hedgehog would help the residents out of rubble and debris, making sure they all were able to get to safety. As she continued searching, she didn't hear the house behind her start to creak and shake. Her reflexes were too slow. As soon as she turned around the house-

It happened so fast... the next thing she knew shadow was already halfway into the distance. "Y-yea no problem.." Amy stammered, looking around the firey, landscape of what used to be greenhill as she surveyed the area, trying to see who needed assistance.

Amy felt her body being pulled in a direction as she quickly grabbed the cloth before she got pulled away. Making sure to cover her mouth and nose so the smoke wouldn't have a point of entry. "Y-yea ok you make a good point.." Amy pointed out as she trailed off, as she let the dark hedgehog-

"No, of course not!" The pink hedgehog exclaimed between coughs. She couldn't understand how the other WASN'T affected by the smoke. It was too thick... and definitely too hard to breathe.. but she kept that to herself. "I wanna rescue them, but I can barely breathe... who will save them if-

Amy couldn't process what happened- it all went by too fast, the next thing she knew, it was hot, and the smoke made it hard to breathe. Surveying the area, Amy could conclude... shadow brought her through the portal, still feeling his strong grip on her arm. She turned to him. "S-shadow?!" --

Amys ears flicked, she didnt see what was through the portal at first... she was too deep in thought, but at shadows, "What?" She turned to see into the portal for the first time. The once vibrant world, now overtook by flames and many other disasters, she almost couldn't belive her eyes, -

Once the golden portal lit up the spot where her own world would be away from this strange one, she gave a sigh, turning back for possibly the last time- she didn't think she would be able to see this black hedgehog again. "Well... I guess this is goodbye, huh?" She wanted to get to know this-

"Ok ok I'm going.." She sighed, shaking her pink dorky head defetedly, her pink quills swaying at the motion. "I'll go back to my own world" Amy looked a bit... annoyed? Sad? It was hard to tell as she set up the golden ring portal again.

"What...? No! Im not that naive!" She tried to defend herself, although this shadow was making pretty good points at her.

"I would never even think of it!" The dorky hedgehog replied, looking a bit offended by shadows comment

"W-what?! N-no I'm not!!"

"Wait! What if I bring them HERE? Problem solved!" She seemed very happy with herself at the suggestion.

"I-I know that!! But um... I dont know if I wanna go back..." She admitted

"Well, something is keeping me here-" She tried to explain to the black hedgehog.

"Well... er..." She couldn't stare him in the eyes, so she stared anywhere but there. "Y-yea.."

The small dorkie hedgehog tried to dodge from the oncoming hedgehog attack, immediately tripping over her own feet, falling to the ground.

She turned to walk away, seeing a dark hedgehog figure. It startled her so badly that she almost dropped the ring portal she was holding, "S-Shadow?" She tilted her dorky pink head at him. It was too dark for her to see, the foliage hiding the features of him, "I-Is that you?"

Amy was conflicted for a while as she stared at the ring. Should she go? Should she stay? It was all a lot to think about, and if she did go, she'd leave behind Maria and Shadow, who she just met... but if she didn't, her whole world might get destroyed... plus, she would get another lecture from-

Shadows' words kept playing on repeat as he left her near the golden ring portal, looking at the now walking away hedgehog then to the portal and back again, trying to figure out what to do.

"I-I'm going, give me a minute-" She said that, but she wasn't sure if she'd be able to go through it. Let alone in a minute.

She took on last look at shadow, her ears flattening, seemingly unable to move toward the now exit, "Uh... yea..." She mumbled.

"Yea... I know what i need to do..." She realized there was no compromising, she sighed, maybe she could take shadows ring, so she could visit him anytime... hm...

Amy flinched at his heated glare, "Ok ok... I'll go back..." She mumbled hoping shadow didnt hear.

"Yea... I suppose..." The pink dorky hedgehog couldn't feign a smile, she wanted to stay... but that was selfish wasn't it..?

"Uh... well..." She mumbled, she wouldn't dare meet shadows gaze at the moment, "T-the worlds going to die..." She replied, almost inaudible as she shuffled her feet. "And if i didnt tell them I was leaving... they'd get really worried and think I died..." At that moment, Amy was like a child-

"I well..." Her ears flattened, shying away from the black hedgehog, she didnt know why, but something was intriguing her to stay. She just sighed before continuing... "Yea, i guess I dont, huh...?" She asked, looking pretty sad.

She sighed as the warm sunny day warmed up her soaked drenched quills, "Ok, you win..." She grumbled, but she wasn't happy about it. She liked this world, AND the people who inhabited but it didnt seem she had much of a choice.

As she got dumped into the river, she immediately let go of scrambling out of the stream, shaking. She looked kind of like a drowned rat- "H-hey!! What was that for?!"

"N-no!" She clung to his arm like her life depended on it... didn't seem like she'd let go anytime soon.

"But that's not fair!" She huffed, "I'm not going back!" She clung to Shadows' arm again, and this time, she prepared not to let go.

"..." She didn't know what to say- everything he stated... was true... Quickly shaking her head, her eyes narrowed, "The other worlds shouldn't go conqor mine- I'm just one hedgehog out of my world- it doesn't... it's not right!"

"I wanted to bring your golden ring back!" She countered, her ear twitching with that of frustration, "Plus, if I didn't, it would have probably ended up teleporting me!" She just wanted to get to know him... was it seriously so wrong to do so...?

"How and whyy? I just wanted to be able to defend everyone!!!"

"Ok ok! But you didn't have to BONK me!!" She was rubbing the spot where Shadow had given her a stern bonk.

"Awee, come on shadsss" She went to grab shadows arm again, but before she could do that, she felt a bonk on the dorky pink hedgehogs head. "O-ow!"

She got back to her feet and looked up at shadow with pleading puppy eyes, "I'll follow everything you tell me to do"

As he continued, Amy was giggling so much from it. Her grip slipped, and she fell off, "OWWW"

"H-hey!! Quit it!!" She tried to hold on, but what shadow was doing, it tickled.

"NEVERRRR!!! Until you agree, I can learn to fight with youuu" Seems like she wouldn't let go anytime soon.

"N-nooo" She began holding Shadows arm tighter as she was lifted off the ground.

"Oh, come on, shads!" She pulled on his arm, not giving up on the topic, "Pleeaassseee"

"What but..." She sighed, "At least teach me the art of self defense..."

"W-what?!" She immediately got off the ground, "But you can't do that!!!" She couldn't leave her new friend Maria and she couldn't leave shadow either... there had to be a way, right?
