Where the right wing nutters have got it wrong: Philosophically, free speech is rarely considered an absolute right, with limitations primarily justified by the Harm Principle (preventing direct harm to others) and protecting competing rights like safety, reputation, and dignity.

With 70-80% of Iranians apparently happy about the US attacks on military bases, the death of Khameini, and seemingly imminent regime change, my fear is that Trump will try to put himself in charge. Real regime change can only happen with an interim government led by the former Shah's son.

My reports from friends in Iran are that 70-80% of the population are dancing in the street, tearing down monuments to the Ayatollah, and support the US attacks on military bases. Regime change seems almost guaranteed, but how long, and what form, it will take is anybody's guess.

I just had a look at the petition SUPPORTING the Trump Tower, started by Jordan Nguyen. It has 3,400 signatures and lists Donald Trump as the top decision maker, along with Anthony Albanese, Scott Morrison, Tony Abbott, Annastacia Palaszczuk and Daniel Andrews. Very weird...
