Summer has been busy for me so I’ve not been devoting as much time to this account lately, but I’ve got a little special series this week showing off four post cards featuring Michael Gillette’s artwork used on James Bond novels. I wish I had all of these books but they are pricey now.

A final post about The Baroness…for now. I mentioned the French covers were not art but photos of topless women. They were also “Penny” books rather than “The Baroness.” Additionally, the UK had alternate covers for the first four books. These are not my images. I’d love to track these down.

THE BARONESS #9: DEATH IS A COPY CAT Art by Hector Garrido. Cover mocked up by me. This is art crafted by Garrido for the 9th installment of this series which never saw print in the US, but did in France as a part of the Eroscope line. The French covers featured topless women instead of this art.

I’m flying back from Chicago today. I stopped by the Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention for a very brief bit of time on Saturday.

TILTANGLE Cover art by John Berkey. I picked this up super cheap at my local used bookstore. I’ve never read it. The reviews are not great, but the premise and cover art are fascinating. #paperback
