08 Apr 26. Some of our summer visitors are starting to return. Today Blackcaps and Willow Warblers joined the Chiffchaffs, and a Barn Swallow hawked over Wyndham Lake. There were also 16 Sand Martins, 2 Oystercatchers and a Red Kite, plus Small Tortoiseshell, Peacock and Speckled Wood butterflies.

March is an unpredictable month at DST, as waterfowl numbers drop, flowers start to bloom and the insect emerge to remind us that warmer days are hopefully ahead. Here are a few March photos from 2025 and 2026 Part 1.
