I don't know what Google or Fitbit did, but my pixel watch gen3 has gotten a massive battery life bump with last week's update - I'm still on Thursday night's charge

My apologies to @container and @eng for random mentions in our github PRs - it's real cool when github auto-tokenizes your commit message body except when it's not lol

In Sweard, AK, when the coffee shop is closed, they just give you a free cup of diner style filter coffee so set you straight. Free. Out of a closed coffee shop Like, what is this place?

Turns out, writing a little service in
#golang
to generate a PNG with DisplayP3 colors is a) fun and b) moot since
@bsky.app
seems to strip the iccp from the PNG Anyway, I made a little bot that posts daily oklch colors:

Elixir is so hardcore, it will refuse to compile if you want different doc comments for two overloads for the same function

I'm old enough to have used mm Dreamweaver and get annoyed at the code it generated. Figma Sites seems like a great way to get a prototype up and running, but the majority of the generated code would need to be thrown away in order to ship a good website

I remember the great browser wars. React giving first class support for view transitions by leveraging the standard is a huge deal!

I decided to learn a bit of go lang by making a small http service to generate pngs from font awesome's font and I'm quite surprised at how easy and almost elegant everything was. I'm really impressed with how cool the getting started resources are

Let's integrate Twilio into an existing React Native app that has no custom native modules. The amount of magic config and the scattered documentation is making it downright annoying. Do I know anyone who's done something like this who could answer a couple of questions?

Is there a service that can "watch" an edited video and its source(s) and determine if the edited video is misleading or taking things out of context or not aligned with the source material? Should we build it?

I'm quite impressed with what just happened in Romania. The latest election was mired in interference issues and irregularities. The front runner is one of those "Putin did nothing wrong" guys. The Romanian Supreme Court simply said "fuck no, do-over some other time"

Two things about altitude sickness I learned in Peru: 1) 3.8km altitude gain in a day will put you on your ass, idc how fit you are 2) don't cut back on caffeine because "you're on holiday" I bounced back so quickly after I started drinking coffee like in the office (too much) Hope this helps
