We are one month into the USA’s 250th celebration and there is a disappointing lack of Snoopy semiquincentennial merch like we had during the Bicentennial.

Unlike the uncountable number of amazing things around now, when I was a kid these were the only two Godzilla toys available back in the day.

Retro 24”x36” canvas print available at my eBay store of this comic book ad page from 1976. I had a Bullet Man action figure. Used to throw him everywhere - across the yard, up a tree, against the garage door windows until one broke 😬 Available here:

Received my 24”x36” canvas print over the weekend and I’m generally happy with how it turned out. I went back to the original digital file and made some tweaks to make it even better if I have it printed again.

I’ve gained a nostalgic appreciation for 1980s CGI graphics seen on TV. Smooth and glossy but simple. Less was more.

My top two favorite items I got off eBay in 2025: I was reunited with an affordable copy of the deluxe hardcover book of Rankin/Bass’ “The Hobbit” (my childhood copy lost over the decades) along with this expertly modeled 3D print of the Rankin/Bass animated version of Smaug the dragon.

Take a peek inside The Snoopy Monster Maze Book from 1979
Back in 1979, you could have helped Snoopy through twenty-five monster-themed mazes in “The Snoopy Monster Maze Book” from Ottenheimer Publishers, Inc.
