I think I got my process figured out in more concrete, generally acceptable terms which other pro-arters also say, so I don't sound completely insane: 1) Draw by feel, not by sight. (Sculpt with the pencil) 2) Draw actions, not things. (Normal animator advice.) 3) Draw what's good. Not what is.
