#PacificPeopleForest Team members Adrián García Rojo (Incipit-CSIC) and Jesús García Sánchez (IAM-CSIC) are in Rota trying to help the Mayor's Office, because mapping the disaster is necessary to organize the recovery. Inez de Ruiter (KU Leuven) is also on island working with a volunteer group.

A large part of the team in our project #PacificPeopleForest was in Rota, Mariana Islands when the super typhoon #Bavi hit the island, last Sunday to Monday (July 5-6th). Bavi's aftermath is catastrophic: devastated houses, power cuts, farms destroyed, no running water...
