In other news: as a part of being the official illustrator for this years Helsinki comic con, I'm having an exhibition at Myymälä2, starting 18th of September!

Alli is the daughter of the now semi-mythical warrior chief Ari Halikko. More than her brothers, she has inherited the fierceness of Ari. After spending most of her life fighting in the east, she is recently accompanied by her brother Joutsi. Now the duo is coming back to their old home in Finland.

Just like their father, Toivikki and her siblings are an integral part of the Halikonhovi's household. Big and burly, good humored and generous, they are invaluable as friends. As the oldest and smartest, Toivikki is the one to call the shots, and she has the brawn to carry things through.

Ingrid is a hard-boiled merchant from Birka, Sweden. She married to the family of Halikko and has ever since been the mastermind behind the decisions and destinies of the house. She has contacts all over the Baltic and all the skills to maintain the influence and reputation of Halikonhovi.

Zubeida was a trader, hailing from the lands of the Bolgars of Volga. After she was captured and enslaved by Rus armies, she was bought by the house of Halikko, and subsequently freed. Now this smart woman is building herself a new life in the forest-covered lands of the Finns.

I'm introducing some characters of my ongoing viking age-saga called Naisten talo. First of our protagonists is Liekko. A healer and a sorcerer, daughter of a Finnish witch and Arabic scientist, is my interpretation about the life of a person who would be considered trans by modern terms.

Damn, 30 years war was bad enough even without the werewolves. Oh well...

I storyboarded a few pages for Tuuli, who proceeded to make something very beautiful and haunted. It's a horror story that takes place during fimbulwinter, when volcanic ashes caused widespread famine during 6th century Scandinavia. I hope we can at some point make a whole album about this.

Had an extremely stimulating discussion with a friend who works on the field of archeology about the effects the Roman empire had on countries, including Finland. Adventurer is coming back from distant lands with a glimmer in his eyes, silver in his pouch and a head full of new ideas.

The publishing house that has been printing most of my books had a 20 years celebration party in a very fancy place and for once I was able to win my fears and really dress up. I had many compliments about my look and truly felt quite euphoric. A good day.

I rarely re-draw my works, but sometimes I do it. The anti-tank troll from 2020 is a design I really liked, so I gave it a glow-up.

I have been a big fan of Warhammer 40 000 universe, even before I got into the actual miniature game. Since I simply can't do anything without creating a narrative of some sort, I ended up with a ton of lore, the centerpiece being my homebrew Imperial guard regiment, the Kissian people's guard.

Thurinn the troll-berserker has made quite a few appearances in my comics ever since I created the character in 2017. THe main idea behind her was to make a Conan-escue barbarian warrior, who defies the classical gender roles of the Fantasy genre.
