On Sunday, First Parish in Needham, UU unveiled a memorial commemorating those enslaved in the 18th century. Thanks to the hard work of the committee members and Rev. Catie, this was an incredibly meaningful event! Thanks as well to our guests Chief Peter Silva Arrow, Darlene Troge & Gloria Greis.

Yesterday we prepared together. Today clergy showed up in prayer—and were arrested for it. Today police arrested faith leaders as they prayed. This comes from an administration that claims to defend churches from protest, yet sees no problem arresting clergy while they pray in public witness.

I’m so proud and grateful for the opportunity to join clergy from across the country in Minneapolis to gather in solidarity and resistance to ICE. This is sacred work. ICE has no place here.

An incredibly well written piece exploring the commercialization of the Salem witch trials in popular imagination. While not all tours are as terrible as the one Dillon unfortunately had, I hear massive historical inaccuracies proclaimed daily. We need to bring the true history to the fore.

On Tuesday, Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) held a hearing on the plan for the reconstruction of Bridge St. (Route 107) from just west of the Washington St. intersection to Flint St. MassDOT expects the project to be funded with 80% federal funding and 20% state funding.

It was great door knocking this weekend! I’ve enjoyed hearing your ideas for moving Salem forward. I’ve heard concerns over traffic, tourism & affordability.
