This week has been a whirlwind of nonstop advocacy with our Decoding Dyslexia Georgia community of parents who are doing tremendous grassroots work to push for change in our state. The state board of education meeting yesterday left us frustrated but resolute in our mission. This is not over.

This snake oil “intervention” program (LLI) not only did *NOT HELP* my young struggling reader but it HURT HIM. It did not teach him to decode, did not give him the foundational skills he needed to build his decoding and automaticity. It taught him to guess. BURN THEM TO THE GROUND.

I’ve said it a thousand times on that other social network and I’ll say it here now too: Heinemann has put profits over our children’s best interests for years and I hope this lawsuit burns them to the ground. www.apmreports.org/story/2024/1...
