If Republicans’ partisan bill stands, health care tax credits that help thousands in our district are on the line. I will keep fighting until the government is open again and your health care is protected.

Fair representation is not optional. It is a constitutional right, and I will fight to make certain ALL Louisiana citizens are never denied their rightful seat at the table of democracy.

The Senate’s vote to gut LPB funding is a direct hit to Louisiana communities. As this dangerous budget cut returns to the House, I am standing up for teachers, parents, seniors, and rural families who rely on public broadcasting every day.

I’m back in DC with my boots on the ground to vote NO on the President’s “Big Ugly Bill.” Louisiana, I hear your concerns and I’m here to represent you as I vote no on this bill!

The Senate just passed the “Big Ugly Bill” that will take away healthcare benefits for over 11.8 million hard-working Americans and increase the deficit by $3.3 trillion just to give tax breaks to the wealthy.

What a joy it was to join our seniors for Senior Skip Day with the EBR Council on Aging. Behind every laugh and dance move was a reminder of why this work matters. I’ll always stand up for the policies that put our seniors first.

The seat I currently hold was created by the Louisiana legislature last January. Today we were expecting the Supreme Court to rule on whether the current map will be in place for the remainder of this decade.

There is nothing beautiful about a bill that could strip vital healthcare and food assistance from millions of Americans.

President Tate’s leadership at LSU has been nothing short of extraordinary. Though his departure is bittersweet, I have no doubt he will lead Rutgers University with the same distinction and purpose. I wish him continued success in this next chapter.
