Was supposed to officiate, but Arcadia were short of jammers so I ended up in the crazy situation of jamming against my own team (Rainy City). Was so much fun. Obviously Rainy one, but I nailed a fair few points as jammer. :)

What a beautifully awesome day it was at Skaters Unite for Trans Rights. All proceeds went to GLP & Trans Mutual Aid. A great day for the Manchester Roller Derby teams to join forces as we fight for our rights.

Had a fantastic first proper game jamming for Rainy City against Liverpool. We didn't win, but we still netted nearly 200 points and for an unofficial D team with 7 rookies playing a C team, that's a win to me. Was absoluteluy awesome. ❤️ Roller derby. 😍

I wrote to my MP (Tom Morrison LD) regarding my concerns about the EHRC draft. I wrote a personal email to give some perspective. I received a well thought out and supportive reply. He did say that he is awaiting to see it and of course the issues will be in the details. Please write to your MP.

Finally I got my husband to put wheels on his feet! With some fab tuition from Grant of Skating Queer he got going. Even better, he enjoyed it! Had an awesome time at Skating Queer in Ardwick and met some awesome people. We'll be back again in two weeks time. 🙂

I don't normally fall over, but today I hit a stone skating down the road and yep, ended up on my arse, well thigh. I landed on one knee, then went over. If only I could have done a 'pornstar' landing. Derby skills! 😆

This is still really relevant. Since taking testosterone in April, my performance in terms of stamina has improved significantly and I fatigue at a slower rate than I did before when jamming at roller derby. I am challenging Leeds GIC on this issue. I know I'm not the only one.

I'm really loving getting into jamming more at Rainy City. Yes, there's some derby kisses in there, but it so worth it. Though it might not look like it, avoiding hitting people was the mission here! 💜

Been to see my GP after a lacklustre response from Leeds GIC following Charing X severely under-dosing me on E since surgery back in 2000. 19 years with an E level of 43pmol/l. GP referred and I have a DEXA scan in 2 weeks. Also been on a low dose of T since April. (1)

New skate day! These are my Chaya Elite Purple Evil skates. I bought these to cruise and practice outdoors on quads to help my derby skills. Wheels are very soft but they ride rough ground pretty well. It's always a compromise. 1.5 hours & 11km first time out is a good sign. It's too hot!
