Getting back into illustration. Royally screwed up stretching my watercolour paper via lumpy bits of glue I left on the board and also bleeding on it So today is a trip to get more paper and I want to work on hotpress amd only have cold press

I decided I would like a new silly goth jumper, because I fell in love with the green on the top of the jumper (acquired in a box of cone ends from rennies) Wider neckline than I usually do, absolute butts of sleeves, supersoft lambswool shetland in 4ply

I did not have enough green to be certain of being able to do am entire gotbic arch jumper so I mixed in a dark teal with a second pattern Anyway it looks even better

Sewing up continues

Full photos of the Christmas jumper. I figured red and white and with bats was close enough to festive J.C. rennies superspft lambswool (4 ply) in winter white and tudor. Designed and made by me as a bit of a learning experience in single motif and garter bars.

Anyway because it is almost December I am already wearing said festive jumper.

"I machine knitting therefore it is basically required that I knit myself a Christmas jumper" "But if I am knitting it I want it to reflect my gothic style" "I am not actually sure how to do this maybe I will just knit a nordicish fairisle with bats on"

Edging ever closer, struck by the realisation that this is not a standard size piece of paper so I will need to get a mount for it cut specially and them have to get a bloody massive frame

This is the cuff of a jumper that is currently drying on the kitchen table. Note the red, note the white, note the absolute lack of colour bleed. I am somewhat amazed

When learning a new medium, painting number 4 is too soon to be doing larger than a3. He has a Sorcerous Sundries mug because clearly that is the DnD wizard equivalent of a sports direct mug

I continue with my trash wizard painting. This is maybe my third? Fourth? Go with gouache. So… y’know… trying to run before I walk a bit

It is the time of year when all is knitting…

the sketch for the wizard. The current colour version is at the awkward stage of painting where I sort of have to explain “it’ll be fine in a while! Honest!” Which probably doesn’t make me sound super convincing

I am also slowly and painfully painting a wizard in gouache. This is all the basic colours down, I now just need to do the details, which hopefully go faster

Decided to make myself a Christmas jumper. Well fairisle… it has bats on it and is slowly driving me mad

I took up machine knitting. I knitted this, broadly before anyone told me it was a bad idea and wouldn’t work.. Today the machine is dropping stitches at random. I have worked out why though I think. It’s a very rare event and is because I am messing up latching up my floats.

Throwback to the time I woke up one morning and went “I must make a mushroom hat but also make it fashion”. Not pictured; me stabbing myself really badly with a pair of brass skull shaped scissors in the process of cutting the holes
