Rookie Connor Zilisch Makes History with Top-Five in NASCAR All-Star Race
There’s no hiding the fact that it’s been a tough first third of the season for NASCAR Cup Series rookie Connor Zilisch, who, driving for Trackhouse Racing, sits 32nd in point standings with just four finishes inside the top-20. Now, considering the major transition that comes when jumping from the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series to the NASCAR Cup Series, it’s basically a right of passage for drivers to struggle when making the jump – even for drivers who had dominant 10-win rookie seasons.

Nine Cars Involved in Fiery Crash on Lap 2 of NASCAR All-Star Race
The 2026 NASCAR All-Star Race at Dover Motor Speedway is off to a treacherous and fiery start. After Saturday’s unique qualifying format created a jumbled starting order for the opening 75-lap segment, the mid-pack came together on the frontstretch when Ryan Preece changed lanes and got into the side of Todd Gilliland, triggering a nine-car accident. Preece, driving the No. 60 Mohawk Northeast Ford Mustang Dark Horse, took the hardest hit of the drivers involved in the accident, backing his RFK Racing machine into the outside wall HARD, which saw the car, full of fuel, burst into flames.
