Thank you to Year 10 and 12 from St Thomas the Apostle College who came to visit us these past two weeks. Year 12s attended taster lectures on vaccinology and linguistics, and Year 10s explored @pittriversmuseum.bsky.social using objects from the collection #OxOutreach

We spent a hot morning at @arkschools.bsky.social Ark All Saints running yesterday running sessions on higher education explained with their Year 7s, and university and future choices for Year 10 - thank you for having us 🌞 #OxOutreach

We loved hosting the MPLS primary science days on 17th and 18th June (and seeing all the fossils and not-fossils in the @oxuniearthsci.bsky.social workshop!)

It's our University Open Days next week, 2 and 3 July! We're very excited to meet potential applicants over the two days. We'll be sharing some information about St Anne's over the next few days for prospective students to consider.

April/May has been full of taster days here at St Anne’s with recent visits from Bishop Ramsey and Vyners Schools. As ever, students got to meet some of our hardworking student ambassadors, and experience taster lectures delivered by academics working/studying here at Anne’s!

We’ve been in Middlesbrough today with Trinity College Access at the latest UCAS discovery fair! Great to see so many potential applicants out in the sun in Boro!

On Saturday we held our final A4O session in the NE this year. Bradley Young's introduction to materials science was engaging (included live demonstrations with chocolate) Huiling Zhang gave thought provoking insight on the social history of Hadrian’s wall that prompted some imaginative responses.

The outreach team has been out of the office over the Easter break, but it’s been great to get back into the swing of things this week with a visit from Harris Boys and Harris Girls East Dulwich. Big thanks to New College for hosting an excellent tour in the afternoon ☀️☀️

Our residential season is starting - with our collaboration with @brilliantclub.bsky.social Students got a taste of university life, academic taster sessions, museum visits and guidance and information from outreach staff and our brilliant student ambassadors.

We’ve had a busy week in outreach this week - working with United Learning on Monday and Tuesday to deliver sessions to over 200 students, as well as continuing with our north east visit week as far as Hexham and Monkseaton in one day! 😴🥳

Great to kick off our March north east visit week with two sessions in Burnside College and Bede Academy with Y12s talking about competitive applications, and super curriculars as we head towards UCAS opening and personal statement season 🖍️🖍️🖍️

Amazing to have United Learning in on Monday - ten schools who came into college to engage with some of our academic taster sessions and to present on work they’ve done in school and their communities for the Social Action and Leadership Programme! 🎉

We’re launching our St Anne’s Supercurricular Club this term! These online sessions are aimed at current Y12 students who would like to engage with researchers in their chosen subject area, and widen their academic interests.

On Saturday we held our second Aim for Oxford session - working with 60 students from the North East. Talking about supercurricular activities, and taster sessions on AI and Social Activism! Hosted by St John’s College, Durham ✨✨

Great to be hosting our first North East Oxford Cambridge Student Conference on Friday with colleagues from across Oxford and Cambridge on Friday. 200 students from across the region receiving advice about the WHOLE of our application and admissions process 😄

We've been running more Women and Non-Binary People in STEM sessions this week with colleagues from @mansfieldoxford.bsky.social and St Catherine's College - most recently Biomedical Sciences and Chemistry. Each session introduces the course, a short academic taster and Ambassador Q&A #OxOutreach
