The new Paizo store is live!!! And with it comes a lil sneak peak at the Draconic Codex's table of contents! I so can't wait to get a closer look at all these new dragons, and especially the Drake Rider archetype!!!

Big announcement coming up here! I'm planning a Donathon! It's not anything too special and it's only going to last between the 1st and 7th of December but hey it's to help celebrate my birthday and trying to do some fun things for people. So, take a look at some stuff I have planned.

DMing and Domming are essentially the same thing. There's an overabundance of players/subs wanting you to put them through elaborate roleplay scenarios while needing you to explain all of the rules to them.

I've been a little slow reading, but in the past 5 months since my move, I've gotten through: Mistborn: The Final Empire Little Sin Mexican Gothic This doesn't include all of the reading through TTRPG books.

Recently I picked up the Drakkenheim monster guide and now I must find a way to include the not-skavens in every DnD game that I run! Strahd just has a bunch of giant, bipedal rats in her catacombs, right???

So I just finished reading Mexican Gothic and... SPOILERS AHEAD... I was not expecting it to go from creepy, possibly incestuous, slightly cultish horror family to... RE7 FUNGUS INFESTED DEFINITELY INCESTOUS TOTALLY A FUCKED UP CULT WITH MOULD POWERS FAMILY.

Today I ran my first full session of Daggerheart and I have to say that I found the system a lot of fun to GM. I'm not sure if I maybe ran things a little TOO loosely, but my players all seemed to enjoy it and they got their big moments. It was also a chance to FINALLY bring out my lil frogs!

A question I've been posing in a few places: when it comes to exploration of large indoor areas in TTRPGs (that aren't designed as combat heavy dungeon crawls) do you prefer fully explorable maps OR theatre of the mind to move through empty areas and a few maps for battles/important rooms?

My two big pieces of work right now are getting myself set up with Obsidian for session notes and world building AND Developing my homebrew gothic horror campaign

Instead of a Femme Fables stream Kally and I will be troubleshooting audio issues so HOPEFULLY we can actually get a stream going in the future.

Audio issues mean no stream today and maybe not tomorrow either.

There's a big job that needs doing tomorrow... getting OBS set up on the new machine. Everything is actually looking good for not only a regular stream during the week, but also a return to the Femme Fables adventures!

Best idea for the Princess Bride remake: it's the original kid now telling the story to his daughter, the same exact story save for one change... You flip the roles of Wesley and Buttercup. Not gender swap, just switch the roles, so Dread Pirate Buttercup off to storm the castle to save Bride Wesley

I hate this... GPUs are already way too expensive and increasing in cost with each generation so we can get what, feature's that will only ever be noticed in a tech demo? We're long past the days of noticeable graphical improvements between gens, maybe now we focus on making things more affordable.

PSA: You have every right to block/mute someone even if they haven't hurt anyone. If they give you bad vibes and you don't want to be associated with them because of it that's completely valid. You're not meant to get along with everyone and everyone is not meant to get along with you.

The struggle with trying to create 3rd party Pathfinder content is that Pathfinder doesn't really need it. There's no huge gaps that need to be filled, there's no lack of new and interesting features, and Paizo just keeps releasing solid additions that fill the want for shiny new things.

Streaming plans have fallen through this week... too much work that needs to get done before the end of the week. I'll try to stream the one-shot design another time.

DnD actually gets so much better when you leave behind the WotC content and go third party.

Starting to feel overwhelmed with the workload I've given myself and I really shouldn't. I don't think it's any more than what people deal with doing a typical 9-5 but it just seems like I'm struggling to keep up. Doesn't help that I need to take on more work to help stay afloat 😩

We may have missed Femme Fables today but I still plan to stream some one-shot work tomorrow! I'll be designing a chase through the streets of Sharn, talking about how I create a one-shot, what I like to see from encounters, and taking suggestions from chat Might do this more if people enjoy it

Unfortunately we have an illness in the party which means Femme Fables will have to be postponed for another 2 weeks. In the mean time, we'll attempt some new sacrifices to the gods hoping that they will give us a few good weeks in a row!

WHAT'S THIS? A SCHEDULE!?!? There'll actually be a couple of streams this week! We've got the Femme Fables campaign to continue followed by a session of writing a one-shot for DnD. This one's all about a big chase through the streets of Sharn, City of Towers!

I haven't streamed in awhile and I also need to work on creating a new one-shot.. so why not do them together. I'm going to try making time next week, either late on Thursday or Saturday, to stream the process for awhile. It'll be a chance to hang out, ask questions, and throw out ideas of your own

I am overwhelmed with the number of TTRPGS I want to read/run. I've finished reading the Fabula Ultima core rules and I desperately want to run that (still working through the setting guides). Started on Lancer and Cosmere, now there's also Starfinder and Draw Steel. Also on an Eberron kick 😩

They will adopt and care for a monstrous teen like he is their own child while simultaneously feeding his father to him and poisoning the mother. They will also murder somebody they just met for the simple reason that they need a corpse

While Dessa has a very different look now, she is still the SAME Dessa, just at a very different point in her life. This meant keeping elements that tie the two together. Previously she had a lot of gold accents in jewellery and clothing, now those accents are part of her body.

My mental health took a massive dip today which means I won't be able to run this weeks Femme Fables session. At some point life has to let up and give me a few good weeks in a row

The past week has been incredibly rough mentally and I've fallen behind on a lot of things. Thankfully things are starting to improve and I'm beginning to catch up. Beyond prep for all of the games I run and the Femme fables streams, I've got a Dessa redesign in the works!

It's almost time again! The #FemmeFables are back in the Vaults this Wednesday @ 10:15 EST. This time they get to relax in the dungeon's very own tavern and enjoy some mushroom brew while listening to the resident metal band.

I have some big Dessa changes coming soon and I'm just so so excited for them! I've even started work on one of the lore stories that I promised (though I'm quite rusty when it comes to writing).

I have decided to hurt my commander pod with a mill deck that TECHNICALLY isn't a mill deck. It doesn't actually mill cards, it just makes everyone keep drawing all of their cards.

Pro-tip: When writing narrative text for TTRPG locations, make sure there's hooks for GMs & Players. Avoid repeated "cozy places", as they aren't necessarily a great GM tool and certainly not a great player tool (as most players/GMs will find or make these places on their own).
