Game development is funny because you can ask for the most ridiculous, esoteric, eldritch abomination of a feature and an engineer can implement it in a lunch period but if you ask for something like "I want this door to open both ways" it takes six months and several hundred thousand dollars.

Man.. Silksong is so damn good. I blasted through Hollow Knight before I started it and now I can't put Silksong down. Close to the end of Act II.

Adding scripts to cameras makes my head want to explode.

Been slowly chipping away at learning Python so I can use it to translate to GDScript. Learning a lot. A lot to remember. Someday it'll click for me. Excited to learn more. #GameDev #IndieGameDev #Python

I love when I'm struck by inspiration and motivation to work on my game... At the worst possible times where I can't sit down and do it.

Really re-thinking the scope of the game I'm slowly chipping away at. It's still very much in prototype/learning phases. Thinking I bit off more than I can chew when learning Godot.. might make something smaller and then build on top of that. #Godot #GameDev

I've finally settled on what my next commander deck will be... It took a while. Gonna make a Lathril, Blade of the Elves deck. With an emphasis on making creatures get swole with tons of mana. Side theme is elf tokens. I know it's a common commander... But I simp for elves. #mtg #edh #lathril

Picked up Aseprite. I'm really excited to start learning how to use it.

Hooked up my MacBook Air to my big monitor this evening to do some work. My god. Why am I trying to make games on a tiny screen? This is wild.

Now that I've finished Final Fantasy 16, I've been taking a break from games. Been focusing on other things like learning a new language, teaching myself HTML and CSS (for fun). While I'm a 3D Artist at heart, I do it all day for work... hard to find the drive to do it in off hours.

Finally finished Final Fantasy 16. That was a damn good game.

My wife takes beautiful photos of nature and other things. I've decided I'm going to teach myself html, css and Javascript to build her a custom website to showcase her stuff. For shits and giggles.

It's a 2 coffee kind of day.

I've spent so many years working long hours to hit deadlines and submissions. I'm learning to put my foot down and sign out of work at an appropriate time, saving work for the next day if I have to. I'm trying to undo all these bad habits I picked up. Gotta slow down and enjoy the ride.

Been really missing World of Warcraft lately. Or more, just a good MMO I can sink my teeth into. I know it's partially the nostalgia talking. I need to scratch that itch.

Taking today off of work for a 4 day weekend was the right call. 100%.
