Today is my last day of summer break ( we don’t count weekends) and it has been such a great summer of reading, gaming and running. Still more in my backlog but happy to have made a small dent.

The annual Xanth birthday ultra has concluded! In lieu of miles I opted for kilometers as I’m still recovering from the 100 last month. Started and ended with a great @diablo.blizzard.com run on the hardcore sorc. Happy to report even with the change in distance I still pulled off the victory!

Finally finished a hundred miler. It wasn’t pretty;it was hot;my training was upended by a respiratory infection;I swelled up like a balloon. However, I hallucinated @snowbikemike.bsky.social telling me “you got this Dawg” and gutted it out to the end.

In all my years of podcasting I’ve never once said “X gon give it to Ya” which honestly feels wrong. Let’s fix that for the rest of 2025.

Look out @gameovergreggy.bsky.social my third grade daughter created, organized, and hosted her own talent show for her school. Very proud father at the moment, my greatest feat at this age was beating Mega Man 2.

I hope I never become so jaded that grinding rails as a cow on a moped doesn’t bring me joy.

2 years! Cruising through demons has made time fly!

After being dogged by an upper respiratory infection, I managed to log some great miles and am feeling much better for race day in two weeks. Now to try to stay healthy and injury free!

For years, I hoped NPR, NYTimes, or the ghost of Gimlet would make a video game podcast. A weekly, hour-long audio magazine with essays, interviews, tight editing, and a cheeky sense of humor. Nobody made the show I wanted to hear. So, I made it myself. Here's the first episode of Post Games.

After a post race slog of a week, I’m finally feeling good again while running. Happy to be back in action.

While I’m normally posting running W’s it’s important to post your L’s as well. Got pulled from my 50 mile for being behind pace. Unexpected heat wave threw my off. Hard to go from running in the 50’s to the 80’s. Regardless feeling good for the 100 next month!
