Going to post some older art while this site is still fresh and I finish cookin on my current project - It's been exactly a year since I finished this piece, I learned a lot from this project and I think it helped me grow a ton in 2024.

Where all my hardsurface/weapons concept artists at? I miss y'all from the other place

I've used fencing on a lot of my models, so I figured it would be good to show the advantages of fencing vs beveling. The two examples on the right show double and single fencing, and the advantage here is that changing the main chamfer slope doesn't require re-beveling.

A side interest to hard surface I've had is Unreal materials. I love stringing nodes together and seeing what I can create. This was put to use heavily at NetherRealm once they learned it was something I could do. Among others I made materials that were core to Cetrion's costume, and Jade's staff.
