Reworked the camera logic a bit so that I can support multiple CineCamera setups (Standard, group and aiming). Also needed to implement a custom pan tilt script to support the style of aiming I wanted. Slow progress, but getting there. #indiedev #gamedev #madeinunity

Just noticed an annoying character/cam stutter that is only really visible from the side. Video shows root motion driven physics in the first half and non-root driven physics in the latter. Seems using the delta position from the animator is what is producing this... rather aggrevating... #gamedev

Block logic finished. They now fall to gravity and also check for valid character positions. One of the things I've been meaning to do for a while is to split Eris's animations into NLA tracks and export them as seperate FBXs. Seems to work quite nicely. Another bonus is I can export specific ranges of my animations for easier maintenance. #indiedev #blender #unity

Bow form and quiver meshes and rig are finished. Just needs retexturing. Quite happy with how it turned out. However I did need to make the arrows have an extending shaft as her arms are quite long and I didn't want a large quiver. #indiedev #gamedev #blender

Just a mockup of the inner workings of the sword/bow. Adding a hidden bridge in the guard to serve as the mechanism for the transformation. Also mocked up the arrows and quiver. Going with a needle look for the arrows to match Eris's overall design. #indiedev #gamedev

Was wrapping work last week so not much progress to show... Though I was playing Digimon Time Strangers and I loved how bold their edge highlighting was. Was inspired to dial mine up and I really like how it turns out. Also makes it easier to see from a distance. #indiedev #gamedev #unity #gamedev

Finished the head textures and put together a quick shader test. Pretty happy with this so far. The specular highlights are masked by a texture to help give a stylised look. Just the rest of her body to go... #blender #unity #gamedev #indiedev

Started work on the face texture. The slits came out quite well. Switched a geometry node setup for the outline that uses vertex paint to control the thinkness. The eye is a good show case of this as the outline gets thinner so that it doesn't interfere with the texture. #blender #indiedev #gamedev

it was a real battle but i got root motion working with the unity nav mesh agent finally. now the big problem is that without attacks, sounds, or any move anims other than a little shuffle, the enemy is Too Cute

Finished her legs and also redid most of the weight painting so that her hips deform much more nicely. I also removed the little v slits from her torso. Little side by side of with and without texture to show off the details. Just her arms, hair and accessories left to go. #blender #indiedev

Was digging through an old dialogue experiment from 3 years ago where I wanted to replicate non voice based dialogue boxes like Ace Attorney (which the sounds were borrowed from for testing purposes). Think I will dust it off and port it once I finish off the combat. #indiedev #gamedev

Fixed the root motion bugs and refined the input logic so you can chain commands. Also added some placeholder VFX just to get a feel of it. Feels a tad too flashy imo, but will do for now. Now I need to plan how to properly handle the hit box logic. #indiedev #gamedev
