GW38 55pts -8pts = 47pts OR 2.2K➡️3.8K Deflating end to the season with 6 MCI/ARS, Wilson and Lacroix, and just 1 FT. The Marmoush transfer cost me 4pts, captaincy choice another 8pts, so absolute best case scenario was a grey arrow. Still my best ever finish and inside the top 5k.

Will be interesting to see if anything happens on that first Man Utd goal. It does look an awful lot like a Verbruggen OG (and Dorgu assist), but does the PL tap Opta on the shoulder to ask them to not change it to avoid the awkwardness of erasing Bruno's record breaking assist?

With an recent average of around 3.3 goals per game in the final weekend of the season, you'd expect a goal somewhere every 3 minutes, so we're a little behind "schedule".

Someone who jumped out in my research for this week as a nice GW38 punt was Rayan. My little team strength model really likes the BOU attack this week, and I also saw that NFO have been giving up good points to the opposition RW recently too.

In the shadow WC32 comparison, GW37 saw a swing based on Gyok(C) v Saka(C). This week, I probably would have stepped on the same Marmoush-shaped rake, as I assumed it was a totally rotated team - except I'd be raging at having transferred out a starting Semenyo (instead of a benched Cherki).

So after taking a -8, I still only have 2 defenders starting, will need one of Lacroix or Gabriel to come on for an appearance point. The only silver lining is that if I had made a DEF transfer it would have been for Reece James or Ait-Nouri, both of whom are benched too.

It is absolutely guaranteed that Semenyo is going to screw everyone over today.

GW38 OR 2.2K 3 transfers for -8pts Haaland➡️Bowen Saka➡️Salah Cherki➡️Marmoush Salah(C), Bruno (VC) Chaotic end in every way, news of all 3 of my MCI benched before the deadline, all 3 of my ARS afterwards. Got my transfers in 10 mins before the deadline at least.

So we have Haaland bench news, what else is there to come... Weirdly enough, the heavy Arsenal rotation rumours make me more confident in playing Lacroix in an emergency.

ARS goal markets coming down this morning, guess it's going to be Gunnersaurus and Win the dog up front 😂 MCI maybe a smudge lower but seems to be holding steady though.

If FPL are going to change the rules on the fly to accommodate defcon / bps changes later than usual (but like how they are going to do it next season), surely they can do the same to push the deadline to kick off time?

Hard to say much about GW38 plans with all the rotation. I'm basically just going to sit down and map out all the various scenarios. At the same time, I'll make a list of targets, including those that become interesting only if we get a leak they start (e.g., Marmoush, Gokeres, etc).

I don't agree with every pick Tuchel has made, but it's pretty obvious he is picking based on requirements for precise roles rather than just cramming in as many big names as possible. For that I commend him, but the pressure will be on him from the press and fans if it doesn't deliver.

GW37 62pts OR 2K➡️2.2K Differentials were awful again aside from Saka (C). The Van Hecke /DCL swing particularly painful. My head wanted Szobo on WC35 but went for upside of Wilson / Rogers / Ndiaye and has been a complete disaster. Going to be a mad scramble for early team news this weekend.

Seeing the Arsenal players leaving the stadium at 5am reminds me of how after clinching the league against Everton in 98, we had to play 3 days later and were obviously pretty hungover in a 4-0 loss against Liverpool. They have a little longer this time Wednesday morning to Sunday.

An Aston Villa win today would make it a little tougher for 6th to qualify for the UCL. For that to happen, Aston Villa have to finish out of the top 4 and win the UEL. That means on the last day, Liverpool have to beat Brentford and Man City beat Aston Villa, both are possible but not a given.

Aside from all the slightly boring but safe midfield penalty taker transfers I was looking at, I did look at one completely rogue FWD transfer. DCL➡️Beto is the one I thought about but decided was maybe too much of a gamble with just 1 FT available.

Drama in the shadow WC32 comparison, forced to keep Semenyo and the BHA assets from GW32, it only lost 5pts to the real BB36 team - leaving the two strategies tied! The WC32 team feels a little more boxed in with 3x BOU, 3x BHA and 3x MCI, but has Gyokeres (C). I'd do Lacroix to Keane this week.

GW37 Rogers➡️Ndiaye Saka(C) Bruno(VC) OR 2K Between all the boring options I was looking at I went for maybe the most boring. I'm not 100% on the minutes of NOR/Cherki and am still thinking about benching one in a tough game.

Holding off on making moves until we see the predicted ineups, especially when it comes to Cherki and NOR. There's a bit of extra risk there, as there is the FA Cup game before the league game at BOU. It's a tough game, and if there are minute doubts too, it might force the direction of my moves.

Hopefully Pep will have something to say on Nico O'Reilly. Everyone assumed he was getting a rest, but some mentioned he was struggling late on against Brentford. Gvardiol back now too...

There is some temptation to roll for 2 FT's next week in case of rotation chaos, but there aren't many great fixtures to attack. I'll likely use my FT this week to do Rogers to one of Ndiaye, KDH, Bruno G or Szobo.
