I was told today by my boss that my request to transition off an account that negatively affected my health last year was rejected by our director. The reason? I manage the account too well to allow someone else to manage it. Apparently I need to start sucking at my job more.

I finished Donkey Kong Bananza yesterday after playing casually since Christmas. I really enjoyed the game! The levels were charming, being able to endlessly destroy everything was cathartic, and I loved DK & Pauline’s journey together. It was good ole platforming bliss!

I love Pokemon, but I can’t justify this one. $20 doesn’t sit right with me for a 22 year-old game with no updates that could have been included with the GBA NSO line-up with no additional charges. I’d only pay $20 for a physical dual-pack of the games on cartridge.

My Virtual Boy arrived today! Excited to try these games out when they release in NSO!

Dark Horse is making only 500 of these statues, and I really want it, but I can’t justify $250 for it though.

My biggest pet peeve with a game review is when a journalist bashes a sequel to a game for not reinventing the wheel in the next entry. Sequels don’t need to completely change their identity from the first outing. QOL updates and new features to add to what made the core experience fun is enough.
