Remembering when on Twitter people were trying to hurt my feelings they would point out that I was going bald. It's like, bro, I am literally an academic and an (aspiring) philosopher. Caring about ideas and not vanity is kind of my whole deal.

Been reading Sartre and Husserl, trying to figure out their different senses of Ego. It seems that for Sartre the ego is constructed, and almost fake. But for Husserl the ego is this transcendent thing that is almost platonic. I would like a middle way, please!!!

Don't like how this article uses "structural violence" to make sense of Brian Thompson's misdeeds. Call it what it is: social murder, a la Engels. No "American appetite for violence" needed to explain! If a murderer were socially praised and rewarded, that would stretch anyone's compassion.

After my publication, I felt like I was the man and I really knew what I was doing. Little did I know that the next paper would be just as hard, if not harder! There is always more to learn in philosophy, and I guess in every discipline. Mastering a skill is not easy.
