Remembering the years when I used to make really nasty jokes towards neurotypicals with my autistic best friend. At some point I realised I was generalising and being hateful like they did to me and just stopped. I don't want to be like the people who hurt me.

I can't describe how much leaving Twitter helped me. Being constantly exposed to weird jokes, prejudice, hate and bigotry from every political side was actually making me unable to breathe. It unfortunately still sits with me, and it will take me a bit of time to heal from that site.
