At #MarriottWaters #parkrun event 366 for my own 235th "run". jogged the whole 5km without slowing to a walk, and finished in 30:38. My fastest time this year and best age grade since 15 Nov. Onwards and upwards

Still slow at #marriottwaters #parkrun this morning, and slowed to a walk a couple of times, but at 30:56 for the 5km, first time under 31 minutes this year is an improvement. Also did 1st Timer briefing, so my next volunteer will be number 100

Got home from parkrun to find another 17 #passionfruit have dropped overnight. That makes 808 in 38 days since 29 January. Seedlings from seed and pulp planted on 31 January are also doing great #gardening

No run for me yesterday at #MarriottWaters #parkrun event 360 as I was RD for my 51st time (98 vollie credits in total) to go with 229 runs. good turnout, with 132 finishers and 15 volunteers.

still 46 degrees celcius outside at 6:45pm. just wow

when the temperature hits 45c (over 110f), dinner was never going to be anything other than cold meats, cheese, and salad.

took both dogs for (separate) early walks this morning, as expected Melbourne maximum temp is 45 degrees celcius (over 110f). total distance 6.8km. Now to keep them quiet inside, and away from the heat.

My understanding is that if there is a suspect identified for a crime (e.g. possible murder) then any persons interfering with the apprehension of the suspect are also potentially guilty of a crime. Will ICE agents hand over the shooter to state investigators, or will they hinder the investigation?

Last event at #MarriottWaters #parkrun for the year. I was slow, having volunteered the past 2 weeks. The year in perspective : 39 runs, 18 volunteer credits (inc. Course checking, First Time Briefing, and Tail walking which is why my total exceeds 52 weeks). Marvin enjoyed walking the 5km.

First zucchini harvested for the season. A bit later than usual, but everything seems "behind" this year. Looked almost ready to "take off"

At #MarriottWaters #parkrun for our 350th event. Timekeeper was late, so I jumped in (3rd time only in that role, out of 93 volunteer credits). All good, she apologised and "understudied" so she would know the role for future events.

30:31 for the 5km at #MarriottWaters #parkrun for me this week, which is slow. Mind you, this is my 36th run for the year (prev. best 35 in 2024). With 14 volunteer credits, I am aiming to match my best for any year, which is currently 16

My local #parkrun at #MarriottWaters hits 350 events next week! brilliant. We might be a relatively small event, but the "community" is wonderful

recently finished @aptshadow.bsky.social "The Final Architecture" sci fi trilogy. omg. World building on a universal scale, with characters on the human scale, with a plot and prose that seriously interferes with stopping so you can sleep. a joy that I happily recommend.
