Does anyone else listen to music while recording auditions? I tend to try and find some music that fits the character and play it a low volume so I can still hear myself talk no issue. Its partly to immerse myself with the character, and partly to help with anxious thoughts. Anyone else do this?

Constant issues with my recording area is going to be the end of me. Goddamn I dont know if its my mic or the area to be honest. Some days I can record stuff and its alright, hardly any noise. Other days its god awful At this point this is a message aaaaaaaah

Why the fuck is the creator of Casting Call Club using generative AI for his project. I was slowly getting back to a point of my life where I could start auditioning again. But christ. Finding another website I apparently cant trust. Put the wind out of my sails STOP USING FUCKING GENERATIVE AI

Another small update on irl Life is still kinda rough. A bit better but still rough. Computer is currently in no working condition. So any VA audition work is on hold till its repaired.

Out of the 4 goals I set myself for 2024. I managed to hit 2. That's genuinely better than I expected considering the hell of a year it was for me. To a better 2025

If your auditioning for something. Please dont lie to your director about your interest in the project. Saying you love and are excited about the projects future. Just to drop any interest in it, when you possibly don't get the role. Its a bad look, don't do it #VoiceActors

Had my first real Voice acting class today. With a high profile danish VA. It was a good beat down. Like, i realised how much I still have to learn as a VA Sadly VA classes are rare in denmark. But who knows. I definitly felt I learned to temper my own expecations of myself. A real reality check

Its nothing as major as yalls roles. But it being my first role ive ever gotten. I cherish it deeply. Is it just me and someone else speaking over a GMOD image for a web series? Yes. But that dosent matter. I really loved being able to finally put my name on something i did #VoiceActorsOnBluesky
