Happy for the Monsters! 🎉

Attached the knitted cover to the zippered bag. Skimmed along the yarn and bag covering. Only two very small blips of the black thread - thought I had hidden the stitches but going to let my perfectionism rest today. Happy how it turned out and it will be a gift. Have another one planned.

Happy to see killdeer babies again this year. I also have a robin tapping on my sliding glass door. I can’t have a feeder here so it isn’t like they expect seed or water here. The first day she just got up to the glass and looked in. 🤷🏻‍♀️

A knitter in Isabell Kraemer‘s group adapted her Bao Bao Cowl pattern to make a small bag. I don’t have the pattern but I knit the shawl. I made a cover for a bag using the same 🧶. Learning from that, I knit a second - smaller needles, more stitches. It will be a better fit. More info in alt text.

The rain has stopped but it’s a chilly, dreary day. Just baked some chocolate chip blondies - let me cut them and you can have one with your glass of chardonnay.

Not a good day for Cleveland sports fans. The Guardians and Cavaliers both lost in Toronto. The Monsters just lost at home. Think I’ll put my Tampa Bay Lightning sweatshirt on and watch that game tonight.

A little progress on my Musselburgh Hat. And the theme is purple for #ShowMeYourKnits. Rethinking the second color - may use a charcoal-colored yarn I dyed. I always stress about getting the correct length on the second half. Put a marker in the last increase round and I‘ll measure from there.

Purple is the theme for #ShowMeYourKnits this week. I’m working on an Anthology Throw/Shawl and I’m knitting some purple shades now. A bit scrunched together - need to move to longer needles. This is an Advent Set I got through a destash.

I’ve cast on two Musselburgh Hats (design by @ysoldaknits.bsky.social). The variegated purple is cashmere/silk and the other end of the hat will be the solid purple which is silk/camel. The other one is merino/nylon sock yarn and is in my purse as a waiting-time project. More detail in ALT text.

The #ShowMeYourKnits theme is Green this week to reflect the changing seasons. This is Forestgreen knit in wool/silk yarn from DyeForYarn. I wear this as a scarf and have worn it a lot.

#ShowMeYourKnits is garter stitch this week. This is a Chevron Shenanigans I knit in 2020. 🧶 is DyeForYarn Tussah Fingering. I’ve worn this a lot. Garter stitch really opens up when knit is silk yarn.

A week where I needed mindless knitting so I finished my scrappy Musselburgh Hat - (pattern by @ysoldaknits.bsky.social). Various 🧶 The solid blue/grays are Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply. The black/gray crown is ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ from lanitium ex machina.

@repemiliasykes.bsky.social What are you - and other members of Congress - doing about this? There should be a strong denouncement of this kind of activity and an immediate call for impeachment.

#ShowMeYourKnits is hands - gloves and mitts. Fingerless mitts knit with handspun, black and green gloves knitted with Noro yard, and purple gloves are a mash-up of a couple patterns knit with Miss Babs Killington (wool and silk).

Going to slip in a #ShowMeYourKnits WIP before the prompt changes tomorrow. It’s been a good week for mindless knitting and I’m just a couple rows from finishing the C colorblock section of this scrappy Musselburgh Hat. Happy how the jogless stripe worked out, going from B to C.

Making progress on the Musselburgh Hat. 🧶 is @makerwool.bsky.social Feline Set. I had to edit the brown/beige sections in a few places. Now the color sections are a little short. I think it will all be okay in the end.

Decided to try a Musselburgh Hat with the @makerwool.bsky.social 🧶 Feline skein set. Used all of the mini skein to start ~6”/15.24cm. The rest will be knitted with the self-striping yarn. Stitch count is 128 and the color changes happen where I want or within a few stitches.

A special #ShowMeYourKnits for Christmas Eve/Day cast-ons. I cast on a Ziggy Shawl, designed by Joji. Yarn is silk/mohair by DyeForYarn. Glad I bought this yarn before the tariff nonsense.

#ShowMeYourKnits is Whites & Brights this week. This is the Hudson Ripple Scarf. 🧶is my mom’s handspun Romney. I’m a little farther along - had to stop working on it for a few days. Cold weather and heat running so my hands had little splits - not conducive to working with white yarn.
