I’ve been having a lot of fun messing with Magic The Gathering art and pixelating them. So I started a new page on the gram to post MTG art with that retro vibe. Magic The Dithering on the gram.

What if Magic The Gathering was a retro point and click adventure game?

Working on a sketch idea which has me making card look like old MSDOS games. And it’s kind of a vibe seeing cards with this affect on them.

Incredibly thankful to @magic.wizards.com for thinking of me this Holiday Season and sending me a holiday card. 2025 brought me my daughter and has changed my life. And hopefully there will be big or at least fun things in 2026.

More thoughts on Rhystic Study. If brackets 1&2 are no game changers. It shouldn’t be in those decks to start. 4 is its ideal home in high power. I can’t stress enough how I don’t care about its meta game impact in cEDH because it shouldn’t dictate a casual formats card pool.

Other than the cards banned for their problematic art. And Nadu. I really don’t think we should be banning anything in a casual format. I really hope the update on bracket descriptions and deck building philosophy for them prevents bans and leads to unbannings.

I could stomach a thassa ban. I don’t think I agree but i understand. A Rhystic Study ban is a wild overreaction to a card, like sol ring, is “tied to the identity of commander” at this point. Just Pay the 1. Or remove it and pay the 1 when you do. Or don’t be a greedy spell slinger.

This will be all I get from this set for one reason. My nephew is now into Spider Man. So I’ll get him some Web Head packs to try and get him into Magic. I also did throw in 2 starter decks and some sleeves. So he’s ready. And we’ll see how he feels about TMNT
