It's one of the frustrations I have being a QPoC. Many, notably white queer folks, tend to only care about issues that affect them or an imaginary them. Yes, yes, the Saudi government is homophobic. But they also employ modern-day slavery and partake in genocide. You're on your phone in Ohio.

Whenever talk of Saudi Arabian government infiltrating video games comes up, I'm always miffed that the focus is on their homophobia, which while true, glosses over other big issues. Not to mention, the people making the biggest fuss online aren't the ones facing the government's ire.

I keep seeing people thinking this is a bluesky problem. If you're seeing this it thinks you're in a state or country with age verification laws. This is what every social media site will do if KOSA and the KIDS Act succeeds. Running to another socmed won't fix it, we have to fight the source.

If anyone is getting smacked with this - just use deer.social or another alternate client. Bsky is just an AT Protocol Client, and your Bsky account is an AT Protocol account - you can use your same Bsky account thru another AT Protocol Client, no migration or loss necessary. Could not be easier.
