Dropped Gnosia (4 eps) It's too competently made to be downright bad, but this is the first time in a while where I found a series's visual design to be downright ugly. At least when it comes to amogus anime, the cast in Rokka no Yuusha had more appealing fashion sense.

Egghead is finished, meaning for once I'm caught-up on the One Piece anime. I'll admit as a Straw Hat experience I prefer Wano, but the way it smashes the status quo with its climax makes it quite possibly the biggest turning point since Marineford. It's nothing short of epic.

Dropped Tojima Tanzaburo Wants to Be a Kamen Rider (9 eps) At first I was disappointed that Shocker was real, but seeing evil super soldiers value the mundane life others take for granted made them more likeable than some of the annoying Cosplaying Vigilantes.

12YO girl signed up to do βstand up comedyβ at the talent show. 13YO boy decided to heckle her. Teacher started to tell the boy to leave her alone, but the 12YO comedian said βno, no, let him go, this is the closest heβs ever going to get to having a conversation with a girl.β

It took until 1136 for me to find out Yasunori Koyama took the mantle of One Piece after Tatsuya Nagamine. Well done. In spite of a life riddled with tragedy, Kuma's story is defined by his willingness to live on. Tears were spilled, but not out of sorrow: they were of pride.

These two were cute in the 1st one, but they're flat-out in love in Zootopia 2. The climactic make-up scene in this is a feast for shippers.

One of my all-time favorite clips of Rob Reiner, from his Friars Club Roast in 2000, as he reads aloud Roger Ebert's infamous scathing review of his movie North. The man had an amazing sense of humor about himself. RIP.

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing. All from his movies.

When Harry Met Sally (1989) (10/10) Been saving this one for a rainy day, but decided now was time. Plenty of directors have had their divorce movie (True Lies, Lost in Translation, Her), but Rob Reiner might've made the only one to make you want to get married all over again.

I think it's about here when I really started crying harder. It's a full circle moment for Midoriya who now finds himself on the other end of a similar exchange years ago. These are deliberate choices by Horikoshi, conveying the importance of mentors/teachers in our lives & paying it forward.

Series Finale An excellent set-up and payoff for incidental characters teased in last week's post-credits. Just one example of many more in this episode that demonstrate Horikoshi clearly had excellent control over his narrative.

My Final My Hero Academia Ranking: S2 (10) = S6 = S8 = S3 > S7 (9.5) > S1 (9) > S4 (8) > S5 (7) > M1 (6) > M2 (4) = M3 > M4 (2) I went into the past 3 seasons expecting each great moment could be its last, but it kept surprising me despite some hiccups. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Gotta say the Superhero-as-cops argument that was thrown at MHA makes even less sense with this ending: inspiring non-heroes to prevent the birth of new villains means they essentially work more as social care or disaster relief workers who just happen to lift cars.

Smiling Friends S3 (10/10) So glad I gave it another shot ever since the Gwimbly episode. It's been a very hit-or-miss series for me, but this is the first one where I liked every episode. It's definitely got by far the best season finale.

Not gonna lie, I've always thought "proshipper" meant that they were pro shippping, as in they liked the idea of shipping in fiction, as if there was some cultural war that prevented people from having head cannons, like Rukia x Ichigo would be a proship as in I support that ship

Don't let Amazon try to excuse this under lack of funds or interest in anime, particularly THIS year. You don't deliver a line-up like this in one year unless you've got something to prove.

Macross 7 Encore (6.5/10) Watch between Ep 39-42, but honestly this isn't a must-watch. The love triangle one does include Mylene's first meeting with Basara and a new song with Miria, but the rest are kind of rehashes of prior eps or spin-offs.

Made it 5 eps into Ginpachi-sensei Ep 1 rocked, but just because you admit it's a cash grab doesn't make the rest of this any less boring. Gintama worked because of its silly as heck anachronistic setting, so having them roleplay a school anime doesn't work unless they commit.
