It's pretty simple. I play FFXIV, an MMO, and I realized over the past year that I really enjoy healing (even though I'm not the best at it). And looking back to when I played Overwatch for a bit, my main was Zenyatta, a healer. Figured it was a cool enough sounding name.

No those things are all enjoyable and rewarding. The frustrating bit is having to work 3 jobs to barely keep your head above water and never having time to dedicate to these pursuits

Editorial tip: Read your book out loud to yourself. Our brains do a great job of telling us what we want to see, but when we read out loud, we're forced to see and hear what's actually on the page. If you want to work on prose, *READ OUT LOUD*. You'll hear all the lumpy bits your brain smooths out.

I'm a writer because it's the best way for me to tell the stories floating around in my head. I know more about video games than most people not in the industry. Like... too much. It varies, but basically as long as it has something interesting to say and it says it well, I'll enjoy it.

Also how in the hell does the word "democratize" even fit when it comes to AI "art?" It's not that. It's the art equivalent of a CEO stealing someone else's labor and calling it their own. That's not democracy. That's authoritarian theft.

I do feel a little uncomfortable with the idea either way, because I'm so new to these spaces online and I don't exactly have a *following*. But regular jobs seem to disagree with me. I hate feeling like a number in a book waiting to be scratched off, just to make another number bigger.
