Finished the first draft of our new horror survival thriller, Sweet Hearts. My writing partner is now making revisions and we'll be sending it to our Producer for notes. This will be our 2nd feature film in active development. Never give up!

It takes time to build a career in film. For example, I've made a working professional life in advertising, which has afforded me the time to make short films on the side to hone my narrative skills and to experiment with my style. The main thing is to keep going and never give up.

My writing partner and I are writing our next screenplay. We are still excited about setting it up with an experienced producing team. And that's on top of our other screenplay, which has a cast attached and is in the fundraising stage. To anyone trying to make films, keep going! Never give up!

I then see other friends/peers my age directing feature films and high budget tv commercials and I sometimes question myself why I haven't.

As I turn 40 in January, I reflect on many things in my career. I've made directed/edited many small-mid budget regional TV spots. I've directed 9 short narrative films over the past 10 years. Yet I still feel like a failure for not having directed a feature film or bigger brand TV commercials.
