#6 Berdly can help Ralsei be more independent. A character arc I think Berdly is going through is being a good listener. With good listening skills and treating each person like something to be studied(not in a creepy way), he has the best change to help Ralsei discover what being 'Ralsei-like' is.

#5 Ralsei can help Berdly realize that he's okay just the way he is. One of Berdly's main struggles is feeling he needs to stand out, kind of like Mettaton or Spamton. Ralsei is one of Berdly's best shots at realizing how cool his normal self is. Ralsei would also find his nerdy interests cool.

#4 Ralsei and Berdly take each other seriously. When Berdly tells the fun gang to save Noelle, Ralsei listens. And, now that Berdly is more open to listening to others, Berdly will better listen to Ralsei when he tells him something important, like the Rouring.

#3 Their presence is kind of overlooked by many of the characters. Nobody cares about The Legend or intelligence as much as Ralsei and Berdly do. Queen also forgets/disregards both characters a lot. Both characters also come from backgrounds where almost nobody cared about them.

#2 They both put a lot of emphasis on how they present themselves. Ralsei makes this a constant as whenever the player is around, he pretends to be all happy even when he's not. Berdly goes as far as to take on a completely different personality when he thinks he's at risk of being judged.

Reasons why I think Berdsei(as well as the platonic version) is a good ship that works well with Deltarune's themes #1 They are both NERDS Both Berdly and Ralsei wear glasses and are book-nerds with varying degrees of social difficulties. Their strengths are in memorizing and note-taking.
