The Gloomy Shroom has arrived! He’s soft, squishy, and maybe just a tiny bit overdramatic. But, that’s why we love him. All he really needs is for someone to crochet him a friend or two. So why not grab a hook, make a shroom, and help turn shroom's gloomy days into brighter ones!

Deep in the woods, I stumbled upon this little shroom. He looked so downcast that I couldn’t help but scoop him up and give him a hug. 💕 Fear not! My Gloomy Shroom crochet pattern releases this Saturday. I’m hoping once that happens, he’ll find lots of new mushroom friends to brighten his day. 🌿🍄

Testing for my newest crochet pattern, the Gloomy Shroom, is underway! I'm so excited with how amazing everyone's test shrooms are looking! Fingers crossed nothing catastrophic happens with the pattern. If all goes well, I'll be able to release it on Saturday the 13th!

Right now, I’m feeling a lot like this mama hen, juggling three new crochet patterns all at once! 🐔 Apologies if my posting is slower than usual. Between designing and classes, I’ve completely dropped the ball on social media photos (and honestly, I’m not always sure what to take pictures of 🙈).

✨ Throwback to 2011 ✨ Back when Nyan Cat was everywhere, I designed this colorful crochet scarf and spent many late college nights making boxes upon boxes of them to sell on Etsy. After all his friends went home, Pigeon remained at the park. Wearing his finest beret and a confident coo, he stayed behind for a sunset date with the park’s prettiest galah. They say opposites attract. What do you think brought these two lovebirds together?

Seagull’s bird friends have all flown off for the evening, but he’s not done with his day just yet. He’s posted himself at the edge of this trash can at the park, like a snack detective on a mission. 🍟🔍 There has to be a half-eaten sandwich in there somewhere! What's a snack you'd never throw away?

What a whirlwind day at the park! From Pigeon’s first hopeful baguette offering to a penguin with questionable ice cream ideas, to chasing after a round Kiwi that couldn’t sit upright, the snacks, and the laughs, just kept coming!

Penguin decided to spend the day at the park, soaking up the sun and admiring the flowers. But then came the wind and swept him away! How cute he looks, gripping onto those leaves like his life depends on it. Do you think Penguin needs a little adventure buddy to keep him safe?

Pigeon’s picnic plans took a tumble when  the wind pushed Kiwi over like a fuzzy green bowling ball. No amount of coaxing could get him back up again! So, Pigeon simply laid down next to him, snacking in the shade. Problem solved.

A new member of the parrot squad has landed. Well, make that two! Meet the Eclectus parrot! These stunning birds are famous for their dramatic dimorphism: the vibrant red and purple beauty is the female, while the brilliant green one is the male. It’s hard to believe these two are the same species!

Toucan heard that steak tastes amazing… but even better with fresh rosemary! So, naturally, he recruited Kiwi for a top-secret herb heist. The mission? Snag a few sprigs from this fragrant rosemary bush. Everything was going smoothly until they got stuck!

Penguin has a bold idea. She's trying to convince Pigeon that bread-flavored ice cream is the future. Chilly, creamy, and just the right amount of crunch. Pigeon, however, is skeptical as some lines should never be crossed. would you try bread-flavored ice cream?

Pigeon’s latest park guest is Toucan, a curious bird on a quest to try every food he can find. But when it comes to baguettes, things got a little... complicated. Toucan wasn’t quite sure how to eat it. After a few attempts, he decided it worked best as a support beam for his giant beak.

Kiwi had the best day at the park! This chubby little bird couldn’t resist the fluffy looking hydrangeas and rolled right into them, thinking they would be the comfiest pillows! After she tried sniffing the flowers and admiring their color, she took a well-deserved nap among the blooms.

Pigeon has a big heart and an even bigger love for bread! Today, he's sharing his baguette with his friend Seagull. But now they're wondering... is one baguette really enough for both of them?

The heat is real, but so is my love for summer crochet. This pelican was a joy to design and stitch together. From the oversized beak to the little fish tucked inside. Pelican loves grilled fish grilled, but he isn't picky! What summer activities would you do if you were a pelican?

Some capybaras nap anywhere. Not this one. This homebody curated a whole aesthetic before nestling in: cozy basket, soft lighting, real orchid for decor. What's that one must-have thing you need in your perfect chill space?

Quincy the Quaker parrot started his morning early by visiting our local park. He scolded some squirrels for getting too close, held an emergency leaf inspection, and is now supervising park activities from the comfort of my hand. Later, he might allow us to have a snack break, if we're lucky. 🙃

Something tells me these three didn’t just “happen” to sit together like this. What are they up to? Is this a secret bird club meeting? A judgment circle? A feathered fashion show? What do you think is going on here? 👀

Just finished this custom shrimp, but I feel like I’m the one getting cooked! The temperature where I live has been ridiculously hot lately. Anyone else crocheting in the heat?

Everyone, I can't stop with the cherries. I'm seriously on my third box.🍒 Thankfully, I've got plenty of birdy friends who are willing to help me out of this endless "pit" of cherries. (pun intended)

These chicks wanted to join the cherry fun too! But when you're cherry-sized yourself, things can escalate quickly. 😳Now they're up to their eyes in fruit and still trying to peep their way out. Mistakes were made. No regrets. 🍒

Update on the Parrot Squad: Macaw kept trying to count all the cherries, but... somehow ended up buried in them instead. She says it’s “inventory management”, but it looks more like she found the tastiest place to nap. 😴🍒

It’s cherry season and the Parrot Squad is having a berry good time!🍒 Galah’s hoarding cherries like treasure, Conure’s already five cherries deep, and Budgie won’t stop rolling them around. Macaw is trying to count them… but keeps losing track because everyone is snacking! 😂

How easy must it be to be a bird? Just wake up, look cute, be floofy, and get all the attention. These two have clearly mastered the art of floof! 💛 Do you think being a bird is a full-time job or a lifestyle? 😄

AmiguruMay Day 31 - Bye bye Amigurumay… Amigurumay is officially over! My little quaker is waving a big goodbye and say thank you for following along. I am so proud of myself for keeping up with the full posting schedule all month long, it was a challenge but also so much fun and totally Worth it!

AmiguruMay Day 28 - Something Black All dressed up and nowhere to go! This puffin’s classic black-and-white look makes him look ready for an award show, but he’d much rather be lounging under the trees. If you could stick any animal in a suit, what would it be? Maybe hamster in tiny suites? :)

AmiguruMay Day 26 – Adventure For a tiny shrimp, the ocean must feel like the biggest adventure in the world. There’s something inspiring about setting off into the unknown, no matter how small you are. Who knows what’s out there waiting to be discovered?

AmiguruMay Day 25 – Still Even the busiest creatures need a break sometimes. My little hummingbird, known for flitting around from flower to flower all day long, is taking a well-earned rest. A rare moment of stillness! it's okay to slow down and catch your breath.

AmiguruMay Day 22 – Time Travel🦖 What’s this little guy doing in my flower pot? Oh, just living his best prehistoric life! This crochet triceratops may be made of yarn, but something about him nibbling on my poor plant's leaves feels like a tiny piece of the past has found its way onto my pátio.

AmiguruMay Day 21 – Something Red 🦜 For today’s “something red” theme, I had to show off my bright red macaw! This little guy is the newest addition to my flock of bird patterns, and he’s already made himself right. Do you have a favorite Bird from my feathered friends?

AmiguruMay Day 20 – Special Stitches My Rhino Lovey wouldn’t be the same without one of my favorite techniques, the bobble stitch! I used it to crochet each of its tiny toes, adding just the right amount of puff and texture. Have you tried the bobble stitch yet?

AmiguruMay Day 19 – Sailing or Flying My crochet hummingbird is in its element, darting between these bright red flowers, colleting the tasty nector inside. What would you like to do? Fly a plane, or go sailing? It's pretty clear what Hummingbird would choose.

AmiguruMay Day 18 – Day Off or Catch Up Some days are made for slowing down. I took a little break at the park with my seagull friend. He even got a french fry, what a lucky guy! It’s nice to pause and enjoy the moment, especially with good weather and a little snack.

AmiguruMay Day 17 – Skill I Learned It´s hard knowing when to start over. This piece, I made the cheeks the wrong color. Fixing it would require removing all the limbs and unraveling everything! sometimes starting from scratch is the fastest, cleanest path forward, and that’s totally okay!

AmiguruMay Day 16 – Scrap Yarn Meet Scrappy! This mythical little creature was brought to life using nothing but a little imagination and some leftover bits of acrylic yarn I had lying around. With a braided tail and fluffy body, Scrappy is proof that even the smallest scraps can become magical!

AmiguruMay Day 15 – Friends This poor little pigeon’s found himself in quite a crumby situation. Good thing friends exist, not just to laugh at us, but to help pull us out of situations like this. Life’s always better with friends by your side.

AmiguruMay Day 14 – Something White While today’s prompt is all about “something white,” I love showing how a design can shine in multipe colors. Who says there's only one way to crochet a hen?

AmiguruMay Day 13 – Close-Up I chose this photo because of the feather detail on the conure’s chest. It’s one of those tiny touches that might go unnoticed at first, but it really brings this piece to life. That textured embroidery is what gives it that true conure personality!
