I like putting difficulty modes in my games, I think it's fun to build and balance remixes. Too many difficulty modes are just bland number shifts. I mix up all the enemy placements and depth of strategy in their movesets. But also: I think debate about difficulty in games is utterly exhausting.

I've felt this for a while and it really is rough in indie games when someone exclusively lists their influences and nothing else, but I do get that it works. I just don't like it. I've used it myself before and I do sometimes find it intriguing when the combination is real weird, but it's tiring.

Hades 2, a new Silent Hill, and a new Atelier releasing on the same day is ludicrous. I'm genuinely the most curious about Silent Hill, though. Short Message was a dump, but this one actually looks good. I know I'll like Hades and Atelier so those can wait a little.

Visited The Archive in Bridgeport CT. Incredible selection of movies and music, picked up a classic and a couple new to me that looked good. I got the sense that every single person there knew each other and I was the weird outsider though
