Last week: It’s been a while since I had pufferfish—still delicious! From sashimi to hot pot, every dish was well prepared. Most pufferfish today are farmed and safe. My first time brought slight numbness, but not this time—just pure enjoyment. Thanks to my friend for the safe and satisfying feast!

Breakfast, Goodbyes, and Becoming Great by Choice The Bone Bioengineering Lab hosted a warm breakfast gathering to send off our AAASE high school student interns. Scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fresh fruit, bagels, and laughter filled the room—what a great way to close this chapter!

The Bone Bioengineering Lab is located on the 3rd floor of Engineering Terrace at Columbia, one level below campus ground level. Slow leaks from the ceiling, gotten worse. Facilities still haven’t been able to identify the source of the leak. Install a series of pans to catch the dripping water. 😞

Sushi Ouji on Prince Street — truly worthy of its place among New York’s Top 100 restaurants! 🌟 Each piece of sushi was crafted to perfection by the chef right in front of us — the temperature, texture, and flavor were all exquisite. Thanks to my two sons for this early Father’s Day dinner ❤️.

Back in action! After a productive stay-battical this semester, I’m now back full-time in the office. Already thinking ahead to plan a more intentional sabbatical next spring—but for now, excited to re-engage fully with research, mentoring, and lab life. Let’s go! 💪#AcademicLife #ColumbiaBME
