Day 266. My dad would have turned 86 today. He and Mike Pitre of Bohemian Knuckleboogie both had childhood roots in Lecompte, Louisiana. Mike and I speculated we were related by blood, or at least by consumption of Lea's Pies. Mike and my dad both longed for the day when everything felt real.

Day 254. I woke up in the Subarachnoid Space van in Minneapolis on 9/11 to a world of chaos. Most folks stayed glued to the TV. Our host and I went on long walks on a surreally pretty and quiet day. The tour that ensued was insane. Greg Tietz documented it - hopefully that footage surfaces one day.
