Today I learned I’m the same age as the term ‘lipidome’, which first appeared in a peer reviewed publication in 2001.* I am amused by the coincidence, kind of in awe of how much lipidomics has grown as a field in my lifetime, and eager to see (from membrane-modeller sidelines) future breakthroughs 😁

Had the pleasure of participating in a small but lively meeting today to discuss the future of biophysics in Aotearoa New Zealand. A key conclusion: increasing visibility, inclusivity, and accessibility will be key to growing our kiwi biophysics community and increasing our international presence.
