Introducing the future USS Discovery NCC-2001. Named in honour of both the XD-1 Discovery from the novel 2001 published in 1968 and the starship USS Discovery presumed lost in 2258. In my head canon, the first production run Excelsior class.

After three rounds of masking and painting, the tape has been lifted on the Echelon class USS Yorktown (whoop whoop!). A few touch ups to address for sure but considering this was held together with tape for a good week, overall I'm very pleased. #starship
