Big batteries all around Australia store the cheap, renewable energy we generate from solar during the day, so it can be used at night when demand is high. This strengthens our energy grid, moves us away from expensive coal and gas, and brings prices down for everyone.

EV sales have smashed more records in June. The Albanese Government's New Vehicle Efficiency Standards have seen a boom in EV choices and Australians are taking up those choices.

The Cheaper Home Batteries program is one year old and the stats speak for themselves. This is an incredible push by Australians towards a more sustainable future.

It's the 1st of July which means the Cheaper Home Batteries program turns 1 and the Solar Sharer Offer becomes available.  These are common sense polices aimed at supporting every day Aussies with the cost of living.

Three hours of free power in the middle of the day for NSW, SA, and QLD. When the grid has abundant cheap power in the middle of the day, Australian households should be able to benefit from it. It's good for the planet, good for the grid, and great for household bills.

You'd think that Angus Taylor would want to celebrate 10% of his community owning a Cheaper Home Battery and slashing their power bills.  Instead, he wants to scrap the program entirely.

Cheaper Home Batteries are saving Aussies money.  Massive savings for Australian households with a battery, and strong downward pressure on prices from batteries for everyone else.

The Liberal party really want you to think that renewables are costing you more, but we know that’s just not true. The Albanese Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries program is no only reducing bills for those who own a battery, it’s putting downward pressure on energy prices for everyone.

The release of a new, lower Default Market Offer means energy bills should be coming down for many people, so it’s important to make sure you are on the best possible deal.

Abundant solar and booming battery installations are keeping our grid going strong at night, which means power bills going down for everyone.

Programs like Cheaper Home Batteries, the Electric Vehicle Tax Cut, and the New Vehicle Efficiency standards - all gone if they were in charge. And Aussies would pay the bill.  While they’re driven by ideology, we’ve got a common sense plan to deliver a cleaner and fairer future for Australia.

Today AEMO released the Integrated System Plan - an updated roadmap for our transition toward cleaner and more reliable energy.

Today Assistant Minister Josh Wilson and I are announcing the next stage in the rollout of big batteries through the Capacity Investment Scheme - supporting enough battery storage to power 3.7 million Aussie homes and businesses.

In the face of the worst international fuel crisis ever, a calm and serious government response was necessary. And now we have record amounts of fuel in Australia, despite the international challenges.

Not long now until Solar Sharer starts! We're requiring companies to offer you three hours of free electricity during the middle of the day, when our solar energy is the strongest.

Here's some good news you may missed recently.  Renewables and EV sales up. Emissions and power prices down.  A lot done, a lot more left to do. We're getting on with the job on the energy transition.

Renewable energy is sovereign.  Our natural resources aren't affected by conflict overseas.  We're working everyday to build a cleaner, fairer energy system for all Australians.

Today, we opened the new MCI carbon plant In Kooragang Island, Newcastle. Creating 50 jobs, and reducing carbon by 2500 tonnes a year, MCI carbon is an innovative Aussie technology which puts carbon to work in building products instead of wasted in emissions.

Australia relies on trucking. And today our biggest trucking company, Linfox, rolled out new electric trucks with support from the Albanese Government.

Australia is absolutely leading the world when it comes to battery installation. And its helping reduce prices for everyone, not just people who have them.

Change of scenery for today's weekly fuel update. Australia currently has: ⛽ 45 days of Petrol 🚜 39 days of Diesel ✈️ 32 days of Jet Fuel This amounts to an overall 6.4 billion litres of fuel in reserve, the highest amount of fuel ever, since the Minimum Stock Obligation was introduced.

The world is at a crossroads in 2026.  The conflict in the Middle East is causing nations to think deeply about how best to shield themselves from future global energy shocks.

We're investing in health in McMahon and it's having real effects for our community.  Only a Labor Government will strengthen Medicare.

Australia is leading the world when it comes to battery installations.  It's because everyday Aussies know that what's good for the planet is good for your pocket.

Electric Vehicles and plug in hybrids hit a massive record of 30% of all new cars sold last month.  This is common sense policy in action, driving our energy transition.  It's about choice for Aussie consumers, to own a cheaper to run car and reduce emissions.

Our plan is delivering more cheaper, cleaner energy at record rates.  The Coalition's plan is to stop renewables and household batteries, sweat coal, and leave Australians to pick up the bill of global shocks.

Two bits of good news out from last week.  Energy prices and emissions down.  It's our plan in action. More cheaper, cleaner energy and a fairer deal for households.

We've got the best sun and wind in the world, and we're using our sovereign renewables to shield our grid from global energy volatility and to bring down your energy bills.

This means that around 3 million people will be better off from next month.  Only a Labor Government will support Aussies workers.

Two pieces of good news in one week. Record renewables are driving down bills. And national emissions have dropped 9.7 million tonnes — the cleanest grid and cleanest transport sector we've seen. That's what our plan looks like.  More cheaper, cleaner energy and a better deal for households.

From 1 July, energy prices are set to come down. Renewables are displacing expensive coal and gas and putting downward pressure on energy prices.

Our plan for cheap, reliable and sovereign renewable is working.  That's what the figures of today's Default Market Offer show us.  While others continue to deny and delay we'll continue to work everyday on Australia's energy transition and putting downward pressure on energy prices.

Today's release of the final Default Market Offer shows that our plan for cheaper cleaner energy and a better deal for households is working.  It is no coincidence that these price reductions come at a time when we have the highest record of renewable generation in our grid.

Big news today. We’ve got the best sun and wind in the world. That's why we’re using our sovereign renewables to shield our electricity grid from global energy volatility and to bring down your energy bills.
