Another month, another coffee morning! This time I was in Irby speaking to people about a range of different issues that matter to them. I always value these conversations - thanks to all that came. Keep an eye out for a letter from me about a coffee morning in your area soon.

Great to meet students from Liverpool John Moores University! It’s always exciting to welcome students from my old university to Parliament – it was great to hear about their studies and answer their questions about life as an MP.

🆕 Half a million more children will get access to Labour's free breakfast clubs next year – boosting parents' work choices and children's life chances. I've written to eligible schools across Wirral West to encourage them to join the scheme.

Balanced out my Barbetta's salad with some chips! Highly recommend it.

Tomorrow’s Women Wirral do important work to support women facing domestic abuse. I was proud to nominate them to receive more than £6,000 of Omaze funding recently. It was great to see how that money is supporting women on the Wirral.

It was a privilege to lay a poppy stake on behalf of Wirral West in the House of Commons remembrance garden. We will remember them.

The pink lights look great! I saw the hard work that goes into getting these lights up - great job, all. Your hard work and dedication makes our town look lovely every year.

Was out in Heswall just before it started to rain 🌧 Climate Change, NHS improvements and some local issues came up. Was great to speak to someone I had managed to help directly. Have a great weekend, all.

This Labour Government is committed to preventing homelessness across the North West, by providing immediate support for children and families in temporary accommodation.

I had a special visit to Elderholme Care Home where I met with staff and residents. The work the staff do is amazing. The support they provide for people during difficult times is inspiring. Thank you for having me, I loved having the chance to sit down and hear everyone's stories.

Really pleased to bring my street stall to Tesco in Heswall, talking to people about a range of issues. Thank you to Tesco for having me, and thanks to everyone who stopped to have a chat.

I recently met with Merseyside’s Chief Fire Officer to visit their world class training facility. I was delighted to find out that here on Merseyside we have the best rescue service in the world! Thank you to everyone at Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service for the work you do keeping us safe.

Great to hear that Clatterbridge is one of the Community Diagnostic Centres which will be opening on evenings and weekends. This will mean people get appointments more quickly – helping to secure a faster diagnosis and getting them the treatment they need.

Another new business opens in Hoylake – great to pop in and see C.M. Triggs Fishmongers on their opening day. Local businesses selling fresh, local produce – you love to see it. Good luck to everyone involved. If the first day is anything to go by, you won’t need any luck!

Small businesses are the engine of the Wirral and our high streets. That’s why I was so pleased to join the Heswall and District Business Association to discuss how we can work together to support small businesses.

Today I was in Thornton Hough for one of my coffee mornings, speaking to people about the issues that matter to them. It was a really lovely morning, thank you to everyone who came and had a chat with me.

Delivering news for the Woodchurch this morning. Good conversations with people whilst out and about - including about the leisure centre. The positive things we’re doing to help people don’t often make it into our news feeds, which is why I think this good old fashioned work is important.

Both Wirral St John’s and Claire House provide such invaluable support in our community for people with life-limiting conditions and their loved ones. I’m so pleased that this Labour Government has allocated such important funding to our hospices – it will make a real difference.

In Hoylake, Scottish Power has a major training centre to help their apprentices go on to have excellent careers. Steve Rotheram and I recently went to see the training in action and discuss Scottish Power’s role in delivering good jobs and clean energy.

For too long, transport in areas like ours was neglected, and people have been left struggling to get around. I’m really pleased to see this Government investing in the Wirral – delivering a new train station, better busses and fixing our roads. My thoughts in the Wirral Globe: buff.ly/bp9oQK0

I was really pleased to visit St Bridget's C of E Primary School to meet students and talk to their Headteacher Mr Le Feuvre about the work they do. I'm meeting schools across Wirral West to discuss how I can support them and their students. Thanks to everyone at St Bridget's for having me.

Today I took my petition for a privacy screen at West Kirby Concourse to the streets, speaking to people in West Kirby about why I think this is important. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to have a chat with me.

Good afternoon from the Woodchurch. You name it, we discussed it! The NHS, ASB, pot holes, immigration, education, transport. Was great to have so many conversations about the issues that matter to people. Have a great weekend, all!

In just one year, this Labour government is fixing the foundations to build a stronger Britain. With people from across Wirral West, I’m working hard to bring the improvements our area needs. Some highlights from Labour’s first year in office ⬇️

I had a great time with Stephen Morgan, Minister for Early Education at Ganney’s Meadow School, where children and teachers are turning grey spaces into green spaces through the National Education Nature Park scheme.

The sun was shining brightly and we were out talking to people in West Kirby. Anti social behaviour, parking and public services came up. Lots to take away. Thanks to everyone who spoke with me. Enjoy the sunshine! ☀️

Compensation for the victims of the infected blood scandal is not only about money, it's about closure. We must ensure that the process is swift and transparent, so more victims are able to get the redress they deserve.

I was delighted to open the new borehole at Hoylake Allotments. The new borehole allows for running water to be brought to the site for the first time in its history. I had a great time taking a tour of the grounds and talking to allotment holders. Thank you to everyone at Hoylake Allotments.

Young girls in our community have highlighted to me their experiences using the West Kirby Concourse swimming pool, being made to feel uncomfortable because passers by can see in.

Thank you to all the constituents who have contacted me since being elected on the issue of assisted dying. I have seen the very best of us through this debate, which has consistently been conducted with compassion and honesty both in the House and in Wirral West.

I am so proud of the unique and remarkable history of our area. We have so much to celebrate, and I am glad we have so many great local organisations keeping our stories alive. Historic England has issued a call for nominations for the National Blue Plaques Scheme!

I was pleased to hold a meeting with local councillors from across Wirral West to discuss key issues they see in their wards. It was a really productive meeting, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with local councillors to deliver for our area.
