So the resident on-call tech had something come up this weekend and basically told the commercial on-call that he was going to have cover both. However valid his issue is that is not how shit works. Also, the commercial guy is green as fuck. So long story short I just cleared an OT call.

To handle refrigerants in the U.S. requires a license. Either an EPA 608 or 609 depending on the type of system. Supply houses cannot sell it to anyone without the proper certification. And most supplie houses are wholesale only and won't sell ANYTHING to John Doe who just walks in.

If you're going to call for emergency after hours service when you're describing the problem to the tech it would behoove you to mention that your whole neighborhood is without power and you're running on a generator.
