1 more assignment and 2 8hr clinical days to go to finish this semester!!! Woooo! This semester has been rough, schedule has been: work M-Wed 730-630 with 1 hour PT on M/W, clinical day drive 30 min to clinic 830-4 day 30’min drive back, work Friday- 7:30-630pm, free time has been for homework

Working on wanting to take pictures of myself again. After months of steroid treatments, ankle surgery, not being able to walk for 8wks & stuck in depression dealing with pain. finally seeing the light but the weight I’ve gained has killed my self-esteem. Focused on finding the best version of me.

April 5 It’s Saturday’s so I wanted to sleep in, but my body woke my up at 8:30am. I was looking to sleep into until 9 at least since I went to bed at 1am. I got close! 😂 today is for reading and relaxing. I need a break.

April 3. Thursday is clinical day, at least for 3 more Thursday’s and then I’ll be down with this semester of grad school. I’m thankful for being at a clinical site that is low key but im ready to get back to my normal work schedule, 4 10hr shifts and 1 8hr clinical is not good for me.

This song will always remind me of my grandma & her funeral. Every time I hear it, tears form and I have to let them flow. I wasn’t close to my grandma and I think that’s what I grieve the most, not having a close relationship with the only grandparent I ever knew. open.spotify.com/track/2uooKx...

April 2. Thunderstorm weather day, it’s been like this for the past 4 hours and will probably continue. A cloudy, dreary day, matches how I’m feeling. I took the day off from work and cancelled my PT for today. I needed a day for me. What movie would you watch if you need a good cry??

4/1. A new month begins. The sun is shining.I’m powering through. I know the things I need to do but the motivation is lacking. Reminding myself to tackle one thing at a time, now to decide on what that one thing will be. My pain is high today so many the thing for today is rest and self-compassion

March 27-30 I’m thankful to have celebrated with my bonus daughter as she married the love of her life. I’m thankful she has found someone who loves her as she deserves. I’m thankful for spending time with my love, my kids, and family. Life has been busy but good.

March 24. Monday again. Though it’s snowing (yay Michigan) I’m thankful for a new day and the opportunity to just be me. Here’s to a wonderful work week!

March 22 &23 Were spent with my family. Wedding shower for my bonus daughter and then the munchkin and I drove to see Craig and my bonus sons. Of course I got to snuggle with my puppies. We spent it playing games, watching Wicked and Dodgeball 🤣 and having a blast together as always.

Day 21 I am an exhausted mom today, spent the evening in the ER with my kid. We got home around 2am and the kid is doing better, follow up appt made and medicine on board. On a positive note, we watched movies in ER together and giggled on the way home at how drugged the kid was from the morphine

I never thought I’d find a person who respected me and valued me for who I am. Who makes me feel like a woman. I’ve never felt girly in any way but he has a way about him that makes the softness in me bloom. He loves me in such a way that I feel cherished and loved. It’s a surreal feeling.
