So. I end with this: You are not alone. I have been there. At that edge. So many others too. Your story is your own. Your feelings are your own & THEY ARE VALID. Do not let someone tell you otherwise. Seek help. It comes in many forms. You may not ever be 'normal'. But you will still be HERE.

I may also have PTSD from childhood abuse. Everyday is a struggle. Against that damn voice that tells me I am just too broken. I am extremely fragile. I fall apart easily. My husband tries his best. It is...not easy. For both of us. 12/?

I've been to multiple therapists & psychiatrists. I've been on more medications then I can count. Some sort of worked. Others did not. It's all trial & error. I have treatment-resistant depression. Generalized anxiety disorder. Bipolar depression. Agoraphobia. Insomnia. Suicidal ideation. 11/?

Two days later, I admitted myself to a mental hospital. I was there for a week. I did not get the help I was promised. I just needed someone to listen to me, for once. I've tried several more times. I don't think it will ever go away, that feeling. To be nothingness. To end the hurt for good. 10/?

My dream job was gone. Taken from me just like my youth. I had nothing. That was what I believed in that moment. I was still hysterically crying, my husband came in & stopped me. I just remember sobbing as he held me. "I'm sorry I can't I just can't I can't do this anymore I can't I can't" 9/?

I silently went into the bedroom, presumably to go to bed. My husband was playing some video games. I had taken a knife with me. I cried, hard. For a long time. And then I tried to end my life. I was overwhelmed with too many emotions at once. Fear. Anger. Guilt. Hopelessness Disappointment 8/?

I cried everyday on the way home from work. I developed insomnia. So I was stressed & extremely, utterly tired. I had built a wall over the years, & it was finally falling apart. I remember vividly when it did. Before bed on a Sunday. I was absolutely terrified to go to work the next day. 7/?

And then it all changed. My bosses became abusive. They absolutely took advantage of my work ethic, my willingness to do what needed to be done quickly & accurately. The gave me more & more responsibilities. I could not handle the work of 3 people. I became so stressed, so anxious. 6/?

I wanted to do my best- I took so many notes. I learned as much as I could. And I was GOOD at it. And I liked it. I finally felt I was doing something I could see myself doing for a while. I was told there was opportunity to move up! Hurray! For 3 years, I was happy there. 5/?

I eventually was able to remove myself from that environment & moved in with my dad & stepmother. It was still not the best home, but it was definitely an improvement. The second factor was: work. I finally landed a job that was NOT retail & paid a living wage! I was so happy! A 'real' job! 4/?

I did not know what I was subjected to was abuse until much later when I began to take psychology courses. Throughout high school, I self-harmed. I cried for help-no one listened. I tried. I really did. I was ignored. My youth consists of painful memories. It is hard to 'forget' abuse. 3/?

I will start with a bit of background & the two major things that caused me to decide I did not want to be here anymore. First- my childhood. My parents divorced when I was 5. My mom got custody. I was raised in an abusive & chaotic environment. I was given way too many adult responsibilities. 2/?

I said I was going to share my personal story of suicide & I admit, I've been procrastinating. But now is a good of a time as any, husband is napping with Luna & Arkham. I will try my best to get to the point, but most importantly- be honest. And remind others they are not alone. 1/?
