I know I've been radio silent lately. I've been busy raising a puppy and traveling out of state, among other things. In TTRPG news, I've 1.) Rekindled my affection for VtM. (To that end I'm giving Bloodlines 2 a shot.) 2.) Ruvaen and Shrike are a couple & Shrike broke Ruvaen's curse.

Calliope is nearly 14 weeks and is getting bigger by the day. I figured I owed a pupdate.

A lot has been happening in our Curse of Strahd campaign, and very little of it has been good. On the plus side, Ruvaen is rediscovering what falling for someone feels like!

Ruvaen finally killed Izak last night. It's just a matter of deciding what to do with his severed head. He has inherited Shrike against his will.(Yet gets tense at the thought of him injured or dying.) He cut a blood trail towards Vargas' house (Literally. He is actively bleeding out.) #DnD

The Draven/Ruvaen truthers at the table got what they wanted for .5 seconds last night. Ruvaen got the boy and lost him in the same night. Strahd has taken his sister Arianelle. And also Draven. I am both excited for and dreading his renewed commitment to summer. Other things to note: #DnD 🧵👇

Session was slightly calmer last night. -Ruvaen, along with his sister Arinelle, had their own pyre for Ruvaen's partner. -It didn't cure his depression, though. - Swordfought Ari with sticks to entertain children. - Unfortunately is now convinced that Draven is a hallucination/ghost. #DnD

Last night's session was both more and less harrowing than expected. -Ruvaen's plan worked. It also, unfortunately, got him executed while downed. - The ghost of his partner revived him and also divine fury-ed an unfortunate explosion on the upper level of the prison. (Gets worse in Pt II.) #DnD

Astra would likely use 🙄 😏🍆⚔️🥵. He's chronically unimpressed, utterly insatiable, and few things make him happier or get him hotter than a good fight. Or extreme violence in general. #Astra

Fixing up the new place a little at a time. Today's agenda included removing the invasive ivy (most of it,) and the Tree of Heaven. Also pruned the Waxy Leaf ligustrum back. (Don't worry. It grows two feet in a year.) Here's some before and after pictures.

In slightly more serious news: Ruvaen gave Draven shit about the things he puts in his mouth recreationally (silver coins.) Discussed the consequences of siding with Fiona and Vargas. Proposed killing Izak. Got arrested after coming to the rogue's aid. And is trying and failing -

Not to be dismissive, but last night's session could be summarized by what I said to Willow: "This is the third session in a row Roo has had a sword pushed through him. This is the most this man has been penetrated in years." (DP at that, since Draven somehow missed Izak and hit Ruvaen.) #DnD

Ruvaen also made amends with the party cleric/recieved an unexpected embrace. (Apologies to the Roo/Tranq shippers on main last night. This is a martial4martial paladin only.) Preemptively decided against helping Fioana Wachter due to morals. Low key is considering True Res-ing his man. #DnD

Ruvaen had a brief discussion with the party cleric re: his performance issues as a fighter, following a rough fight with a lesser demon. (He's still killed it, though.) He expressed frustration at the rogues' failure to kill a vulnerable Isak. (Gonna upset the shippers with Pt II.) #DnD

Astra, being a Padlock, would still have access to his spells. However, as a forker urchin, he'd give in to the baker instincts of survival. He'd resort to using his fists/teeth, and wouldn't ge shy about breaking bones/tearing chunks of flesh out of anger assailant with his teeth. #Astra

Ruvaen recently underwent a new look (though not a season change. Yet.) He's eager to test the theory that blonds have more fun. Grateful beyond words as always to Willow for the first look of our favorite (temporarily ex) paladin. #DnD #Ruvaen

Ruvaen fought the avatar of Hoar, his now former diety, who was wearing the decomposing corpse of his original LI at the start of the game. He managed to successfully break his oath at extreme personal cost. (Hoar tried - and nearly succeeded in - killing him.) (Two part post.) #Dnd
