Kyle and I collaborated on the scrambled eggs this morning. I started them, and he finished them. Normally, I add goat cheese, but today, we added the garlic and fresh herbs Boursin. SO yummy!

And somehow, I’m the parent of a 14 year old. I am SO incredibly proud of the progress Eric’s made in the past year. We’ve got a way to go, but he’s definitely on the right path to success now. I don’t know what 14 holds for him, but I can’t wait to find out.

Today, my first little love drew his final breath. I know everyone thinks their dog is the best dog, but I truly believe Archie WAS the best dog. From puppyhood, he was so laid back, and such a gentle, kind soul. Until we meet at the Rainbow Bridge, my sweet boy ❤️

He’s always loved Hamilton (he even dressed up as Hamilton for Halloween a few years ago), but I think it might have more meaning for him this year after attending his first protest. We talked about how the ideals are still relevant, you just sub England and King George for MAGA and Trump 😑

One of my students unexpectedly passed away this weekend. His family needs help with his funeral expenses. Please share, and keep his family in your thoughts. I had his sister when I first started at my school, and I’ll have his little brother for a few more years. He didn’t deserve this.

Nolie’s basketball coach has a baby (not sure how old, but she seems to be a few months), and he sometimes babywears her during games. Today, she is strapped to his chest dressed like a basketball, and it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

Went to Candles and Queens at Flora Candle Co. last night with my friends Heather and Taylor. We got to pour candles (my first time!) and watch a great drag show put on by some of our best local queens. I named my candle Sexy Professor’s Tweed Jacket (leather, bourbon, tobacco, vanilla).
